I guess it's only an issue in Chrome then, since that's the browser I tried it in.

Have you set and configured ClearType text in windows (just type cleartype into the search bar)? Maybe that could be the cause.

Thank you for the tip (I did not knew about it), but it does not change anything.
It is also only directly on the steam discussion pages itself.
Comment history on steam just show the same comment normal.
Anything else outside of steam also show "!" just normal.
It was not all ways like this.. i just noticed it a few days prior to this thread myself.
