I’ve only played part of Mel but I’ll echo that suggestion. It’s a good one. There’s also the Sixense mini-expansion I think needs Portal 2 but is a stand-alone. If I remember right, it’s the pack of levels that was exclusive to PS3.

It's that time again... the Chinese New Year? Eh, OK, I don't celebrate that, but it's a sale now. That'll do, pig!
And so once more the Portal games are on sale, and so once more it falls to me to make GAs for them, for the 20th time and still going strong.
If you've already played Portal, there's Portal Stories: Mel, a free mod that's apparently pretty good (I've yet to play it myself beyond the beginning).
