I finally got Magicka to run on our computer. The frame rate is definitely not the greatest, but it is playable now. The slow rate means that I got to lead my movements in order to survive. This will take a long time before I get the hang of it. My husband did get a pay raise, so I hope will can get a new machine soon. We still have to decide whether to get either Windows 7 or 8.

On a side note, it means that our play percentage is now at 78.

I do believe I fulfill the requirements (only won 2 games, won was a dev giveaway of a game in beta and the other I have played quite a bit), so figured I'd post and say I would like to join. :)
