I wanted something special for my anniversary bundle. So it took around one year from 24 to 25. And THIS is special.

Guesses:

No additional guesses so far.

Are you interested in knowing other ongoing bundles? Feel free to check out the new master thread!

Wondering what games you already own from this bundle? There's an extension/UserScript for that! It's called the RaChartβ„’ Enhancer!

This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

Thank to luckz for helping with the poll!

Cartridges, anyone?

View Results
[Buy - game] The spotlight game is worth buying alone at this price.
[Buy - music] I'm in for the music!
[T2] Sega cartridges are my jam.
[T3] My money goes towards game industry crunch awareness.
[Price] Who would even call $4 for a $10 game a bundle?
[Skip] Neither the music or the game interests me.

Seriously... $112 or $147 and that's even without shipping... just to play some small indie games on an old console...

Oh boy, Groupees' new direction could be called progressive and experimental and when some of us are predicting a slow death for Humble, I would rather suspect that for Groupees. :/
I'm curious how well that sells. :o

Well, atleast ReMute likes it I guess. Wonder if there's a second person in the world who does though. 150 bucks "bundle" is LOL though.

Humble Bundle with no Game Bundles for 3 weeks and a half and now Groupees with underwhelming bundles to be polite... hope this is just a coincidence due to Steam Summer Sale on the 25th, if not well it's the way i stop buying steam games and save money

Is there still a market for these cartridges? Whoa.
Ok, anybody who still uses their Mega Drive and SNES can save up to $46 by buying Tier 3 of this bundle.
Sounds like a good bargain to me. xD

Most old consoles people still make cartridges for, i even got one for the Vectrex (a 34 year old computer).

Wow, this is insane but also kinda charming. I can relate to that nostalgia, and it's obviously something that makes people happy. But these high prices would kill it for me.
I'd rather use emulation than old console hardware and cartridges, but to each their own.

Oh yeah the costs are often ridiculous (though dunno how much it cost to make one, but doubt it's much), i wouldn't spend $50 on one either.

Thing is sometimes with these cartridges noone is dumping it's rom (unless a dev sells it with it, some do) because it's such a niche market, and it's not easy to dump a rom. But there are plenty of others.

They are all new games, there is a large "homebrew" community of people making new games for old computers and consoles. Sometimes they create physical versions for sale to collectors. Remember that the cartridges are a custom made PCB in custom shell and box, so it's more expensive than burning a CD.

I actually own a physical version of Coffee Crisis from the kickstarter or indiegogo or whatever it was a couple years ago. It is a decent Beat-Em-Up game. Kind of repetitive, but of course all Beat-Em-Up games are kind of repetitive. That's what makes them enjoyable... some mindless button-bashing.

They did a "software update" which involved opening the shell of the game (with a gamebit screwdriver, because it uses the special nintendo screws), removing the PCB and mailing it to them for a replacement which I received back a week or two later. :)

The Steam version is not just the Mega Drive game in an emulator, it is a fully ported version with some more PC-friendly options.

I have not played Tanzer but it looks inspired by Strider which was one of my favorites when I was a kid.

Little Medusa is a simple-looking puzzle game, I think it was first made for NES and later for MD and SNES. Looks like a Steam version is coming soon. I haven't played it either.

Dunno anything about the Fork Parker game but it looks like perhaps it is a time/resource management game? In collaboration with Devolver Digital.
