Space Pirates and Zombies (awesome, and devoured 57 hours of my life).

Supreme Commander 2 (Best RTS I've ever played. especially fun with friends. i have 360 hrs in that).

Terraria (just got it, so i don't know much about, but so far, it's good).

X3: Terran Conflict (Cool space sim, but a steep learning curve). X2 is fun, too, and much easier (sucked 413 hrs of my life).

SKYRIM (i don't have it, and i've never played it, but lotsa folks say it's good, so..).

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Fantastically written RPG with memorable characters and an interesting insight on the vampire lore. Don't be discouraged because there are vampires in it, they don't sparkle and they aren't pushovers. It's a bit on the old side (released in 2004) but if you can look past it then it will be one of the best RPG experiences ever.

And it is the first game with a licensed use of Valve's Source engine and technically the first Source engine game completed but was released after Half-Life 2 due to the licensing agreement.

Sniper Elite V2 is really good imo, u can try the demo on steam. Or u can just wait for Guild Wars 2(Which seems like it will be the best game 2012, check the totalbiscuit gameplay) or maybe Diablo 3

A great horror game is Penumbra: Black Plague

It's from the same people who made Amnesia, and plays almost exactly the same. The main difference is the setting. Penumbra was set in an abandoned corporation, where all of the employees have become infected by a mysterious virus. The puzzles are a lot harder, too. They have more of a sense of urgency to them, lots of them putting you in life or death situations.
