Noob question since i got a new laptop not even 1 month ago but...

Updating your gpu drivers helps only with recent games or even with old ones like csgo? don't get me wrong , i can play csgo on ultra +60 fps but the thing is i got this update request from geforce experience and witcher 3 and batman arkham knight were the games highlighted... so i wanted to know if it's gonna increase perfomances on those games only or even for other games, thanks and sorry for the noobish question :)

Yes,it does with all the games, it will increase your fps even in older games like csgo
No, it doesn't help with all the games,it just works with the ones advertised ( usually the most recent ones )
No, and sometimes it affects perfomances making some games even more laggy.

None of the above. Because performance gains from driver improvements eventually stop for older games and CS-GO more than fits that bill. But it usually is more than just the mentioned games, also some games up to 2 years old in some cases. But even that isn't the full answer because sometimes these improvements are only made on specific graphics cards or series of graphics cards (usually the latest because older ones are already mature).And point 3, these improvements rarely translate to massive FPS gains. And in very rare cases they can indeed break games or reduce FPS (especially in laptop land where power conservation is a major issue).
