First Puzzle Lvl 0 [ENDED] [Solution posted]

Saw a spare key I had and I wanted to try out making this puzzle for a long time.
So without further ado:

C17^a^21_9

HINTS:

  1. I might have done something to the code to throw you off
  2. Think of what the symbols could represent, then perhaps you'll be able to backtrack and figure out the cipher

Well, it isn't really about being hard or not. It's more about knowing the correct steps. I have plenty of ideas to use on your code, tried a few but no luck :/!

Well, in case you're trying to solve mine. I really doubt I have more than 3-4 steps.
Regarding yours, I really don't know what ^ and _ are for. I could imply filling blanks perhaps? Or maybe phrasing?
