yeah I saw Jan 2024 review mentioned "good strategy game for a 2004 buy if you want can wait for sale" which confused me since 6 Jan 2024 is the release date

Reddit post from Dec 2023 confirms it's from 2004 though, guess it took 20 years to put it in and they encoded it wrong?

No, I think they just put a steam release date, but I don't think the game underwent any improvements on that occasion.
Mobygames lists 2004-04-14 as the original release date: https://www.mobygames.com/game/16254/shadow-vault/

Eurojank its sacred my man. Its the stuff of the gods with all those crazy FarCry and Half Life clones around.
I've enjoyed Youre Empty or Vivisector more than any AAA in recent years.

Og Far Cry IS Eurojank. It was developed by Crytek a German studio they also programmed the Cry Engine.

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend. So many fallout clones came out about 20 years ago, and this one isn’t worth your time.
I probably still have it on disc somewhere.
