"The US singer and actor Meat Loaf has died aged 74, his agent has confirmed. No cause of death was shared.
Born Marvin Lee Aday and later legally known as Michael, the musician died on Thursday with his wife, Deborah Gillespie, by his side.
“We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man,” his family said in a statement. “From his heart to your souls … don’t ever stop rocking!”
Written and composed by Jim Steinman, Meat Loaf’s 1977 debut album Bat Out of Hell remains one of the biggest-selling albums in history. Steinman and Meat Loaf’s 1993 album Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell produced the global hit single I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That). It was his only UK No 1 single, spending seven weeks at the top. He completed with Bat Out of Hell trilogy with The Monster Is Loose in 2006. The three albums have sold more than 65m copies worldwide.
Meat Loaf also had a breakout role in the 1975 film version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show playing Eddie, a feral and ill-fated delivery boy who sings the song Hot Patootie. He appeared in more than 50 films and TV shows, among them Fight Club, Wayne’s World and Spiceworld the Movie. In 2021, he signed a deal to develop a relationship competition series titled I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)."

His name is Robert Paulson
Where does it say that?
For truth, his music isn't really my jam but the guy has some ridiculously iconic acting credits. And that bit in 51st State where he explodes.
Thanks for coming Meatloaf, you were a treasure.
Recently watched the movie, this scene came to my mind as well.
In death, a member of Project Mayhem has a name. His name was Robert Paulson.
Just what I was thinking when I saw the news although he will always be Eddie to me
His name is Robert Paulson.
Damn! Almost 8 months to the day after Jim Steinman!
He was a great singer and from all accounts a lovely human being.
Sad, his performance in Fight Club was unforgettable. Also Louie Anderson died, which also a damn shame, i guess we will have another shitty year. RIP
Already thought he died ages ago since you didn't see him anymore, still a shame too.
since you didn't see him anymore
since you didn't see him anymore
he didnt want to do bare minimum and wear a mask. hard to feel sympathy for someone who essentially killed themselves for nothing
Yeah, viruses don't care about politics. I hope people finally realize that.
Still, regardless of his political views and the unfortunate outcome, he was a rock legend who influenced a lot of people in a good way and that's worth remembering and paying tribute to.
Also I'm not sure he died from Covid. No serious news source is mentioning it and the only ones I see going with that are the tabloids (and FOX "News" lol) citing TMZ (lolx2) as a source. TMZ doesn't cite any source for that information so I think they are just cashing in on the fact he was quoted with vague anti-restrictions snippets to make a click bait.

Heard about this on my way to work. I got to see him live years ago. He put on a great show..
My favorite while in high school.
And I don't think I have a cassette player right now
One of rocks greatest and one of my favorite singers of all time. Rest In Peace.
(Fun Fact: Did you know he was originally going to voice Quasimodo in Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame?)
When Eddie said, he didn´t like his Teddy
you knew he was an awful kiddie.
But when he threatened your life!
