I bought this game and Batman AC Goty in Steam recently, in my holydays.. And today i come back to home and tried to launch it from steam and it doesnt run. I can run the launcher, but when i press "play", the game doesnt run.. I have read some issues about Win 8 and Games for Windows (¿?¿?¿ The same fucking company and have this retro-compatibility???). There is any solution or i have bought both games and SO for nothing??

Launch GFWL by itself, let it update, launch Batman AA GOTY while keeping GFWL open in the background.

If it doesn't update, try the other advice!

When I first installed, I had problems with all GFWL games. mostly, GFWL not being there (Section 8:P would launch with no overlay or anything)

Try uninstalling GFWL. Go into your batman folder, look for a gfwl installer (in a folder called redst or something?), right click, properties, "Run in Windows 7 Compatability Mode"

this worked for me and fixed it for every GFWL game

I've heard of several people having problems having issues with a number of GfWL titles on Windows 8 but I've had no problems myself, in fact I've had less problems since I upgraded to 8. I'll also confirm that all three Arkham titles run time on 8.

Thank you everyone. I could Fix it downloading 4 times, and trying to install another 4 times the "new super cool game for windows" and now im "updated". Now im trying to figure how to use a Windows profile, cause it seems that a hotmail account only is useless :P

At least now i can run the game. Thanks :)

Did you just admit to creating the Microsoft version of a MySpace page?

You could have just created a 'live passport' for a current e-mail and not created a new one.

I had 2 hotmail accounts, and one gmail (with its my main mail), and seems i used one hotmail and one gmail in a one "live" account, few years ago. Now i had to update it to the "xbox" system (even being me a pc user :S , that sucks). But now its all operative. Thanks both
