Also, I'd imagine that people that are huge fans of a certain game would create giveaways for new dlc for said game if they really liked the added stuff, take the payday 2 dlc's for example, at least the chance that the person winning it will actually enjoy it is a lot bigger then when giving away some random game in an open for all giveaway that will probably end up never being played at all.

Maybe so, but you have to wonder about things like the "Max Payne 3 Pill Bottle" or a BL2 skin. It doesn't even add much to the game.

Even if it's the least useful it's still useful and I appreciate it, since I don't usually get goty editions or season passes and such

Its better giving something instead of nothing.
Oh and its a good way to farm CV. Most of the DLC or maybe all, dont know, arent on the SG bundle list so you get the full price for it, while you maybe bought it for some Cents and it worth some Euros/$.

I don't get it.
Why are there so many unaccompanied DLC giveaways? I'm not talking about expansion packs, here, because you would expect to see those, nor am I talking about a bundle of DLC's. I'm talking about the lone, solitary DLC that makes you wonder why it wasn't used by the giver instead of being offered as a giveaway. If you could afford the DLC, you could afford to buy a cheap game for the same price. No matter how I look at it, it makes no sense. I mean, sure, people can make a giveaway with whatever they want, but an unaccompanied DLC has got to be the least useful thing on offer. What would be the reasoning behind making such a choice?
