They just gave us this game for such a short span. I'm a bit annoyed at the time frame, but I'm still gonna find some time this days to check the remake.

Is that that game streaming platform? Does that mean you can only play it for 3 days, or do you get to keep it?

Only play for 3 days if you have a prime subscription.

luna is just another virtual computer to play on. its mostly only for poor people with crappy computers that cant run games, so you play the games on amazons computer and its just streamed to you so it doesnt use your ram or gpu or cpu, you just play it on a virtual system

Luna is kind of free for Amazon Prime / Prime Gaming user.

If you don't own any games yet, you can get access to the free section from Epic, like Fortnite, Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing. In addition you always get some games to enjoy for free, but those have a rotation. You will keep the saves and can resume the game, if it is free again or you decide to buy it.

You can link Ubisoft, GOG and Epic. If you always picked up your Prime Gaming free games , you should already have a small amount of games you can choose from.

Luna is even able to run on a 19$ Fire TV Light stick, which makes this a pretty cheap way to play more demanding games.

Not all games you own are included, but as a free to have with Amazon Prime, it is not the worst bonus. Geforce Now works better though and has a bigger selection of games available.

Using it from time to time when relaxing with my dog in bed.

The only issue is that you must be connected to your ethernet by cable. My fire stick TV is connected by cable (For witch you need an adapter) and the games run smooth. But if I try to play on my pc that is using Wi-Fi the games become unplayable, so in my pc or in mobile I only can play turn based games.

It seems there's a limited free version on Steam as well, it shows up in my library with "Remaining 90 minutes".
Anyway, I played the first chapter on Luna, I wouldn't really call it "sci-fi survival-horror", the only "horror" element was the dark environment, which is actually pretty annoying. I'm considering removing it from my wishlist (but low-key hoping it gets better with time...).

I honestly was never a huge fan of the first. But I absolutely love the second. But it's more a shooter brawler rather than a horror game. When the third released I was really shock people complained about not being scary. The second beardly never was.

Still It had other problems I agreed, I also remember the third being of the first games to add pay to win mechanics in a campaign videogame

I actually have Dead Space 2 on steam, can it be played and enjoyed without knowing the story of DS1?

Yes, I actually played the 2 first, and I think I have never completed the first. But at the beginning you get a short recap of what happened on the first.

I am playing this right now, pretty surprised at how good it looks and runs on a browser.

I played RDR2, Hitman 3, Far Cry 6 via Stadia, smooth as butter. I miss Stadia, but Luna seems to work pretty well. Better than GFN anyway. I wonder if someone, and who, bought Stadia tech from google, and/or transferred the engineers.

I remember trying The Last of Us P1 on an old streaming service maybe EA's? It was clunky and had bad graphics in addition to lots of lag. This though makes me feel like I have it installed and on a great Rig, I'm impressed, might actually try to beat it this weekend

I hadn't heard of Luna before seeing this. Looks like the only supported countires for Luna are:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • France
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • Austria
  • Poland
  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Sweden
  • Portugal
  • Luxembourg

(Taken from the Amazon FAQ)

Thank you for sharing this though! Will be interesting to see if Luna expands at all.

Great to hear!

We will see how long it takes to get to Australia...

Hopefully it doesn't go the Stadia route...

They have a free trial I think but tbh it's not even worth it. Most of the game freebies are old or on their own launcher. Most of their tv shows suck or get canceled or both. And don't get me started on how laughable their delivery times are in a big city like Paris. You actually get stuff faster when you don't pay for prime...
As for Luna, they have like 30 games on there? I don't even know what they have now but the last time I checked I literally lol'ed

While the quality dopped and pricing has increased, there can still be benefits.

The unlimited photo storage is one reason I am still using it.
You get some free videos and series to watch.
As for prime gaming, you get games every week and one free Twitch sub per month.
As those games are mainly amazon gaming, gog and epic, you always have a chance to get one that will be supported in Luna, which is free to use as well.
Amazon delivery is also free and with some events you can actually get some decent deals.

I can't tell you either if this is worth it or not, but looking at alternative options, you will still have advertisement in videos as well. Given what else you get here, it doesn't make it that bad.

If I would use it just for the video and music part, I would have canceled it, when they added advertisement for everyone because of soccer events, which I don't watch. They started out great but, comparing what they offered when I started the subscription, I would have to pay almost 250$ a year to get the same features back they started out with. They cut down a lot, but depending on which parts you mainly use, this is still not that bad.
