I always suggest Risk of Rain to everyone. It's 2d platform coop shooter with roguelike elements. i know there's a "no shooters" rule, but it's not a F-TPS. I mean, I don't really like FPS or TPS and I fell in love with this game.

If you like platformers try Rayman Legends and Guacamelee! best with controllers :) Rayman is more expensive and has better soundtrack and graphics, Guacamelee has a little bit of story and its more aimed on fighting, some combos are pretty hard. If your gf has no skill, you should go for Rayman,,. its more "fail friendly"-

Crypt of the Necrodancer! It's a roguelike dungeon crawler where you move and attack to the beat of the music playing. You can play it with kb+m, controller, or a dance pad.

Besides Guacamelee and Rayman Legends, i'd like to suggest Chariot. I haven't played it yet, but they say it's quite fun!
Friendship Club looks fun too, but, again, have to play it yet
