Didn't know about the publisher till i read this, but already ordered in a group buy.

Some might know the stories about my dad and my own health. They found some stuff again regarding possible cancer, they took bits and bytes out of a bunch of organs last week in an operation, today we are glad to know he is totally clean and the previous test might have been wrong or something, so that's a relieve.

Still not feeling fine myself, am alcohol free for almost 6 months now, cut down a lot on soda's, even caffeine, but instead of feeling better it still made feel a bit worse actually, you just think, hope, your body would thank you and give something back, but alas. mostly in the mornings just feeling like i haven't slept at all.
The milk thistle someone recommended me here, did really decrease my high liver enzymes, one is now in normal range, but another is still a bit high and i got a vitamine d shortage in return also, but in all if anyone suffering from high liver enzymes too i can really recommend it, it doesn't cost much.

Also the whole jobcoach thing i was supposed to get is not really progressing, and now soon all those people getting 4 weeks of vacation so that's gonna take some time too (which already is taking too long which doesn't help my cv).

And the little money i have i just went overboard with the summer sale and a classic mini snes (which went 20 euro up 2 days later and that one is already very high priced now) and an atari flashback 9 (with sd so can add games). So a little treating myself after all the bad stuff i guess but i really need to save up some for the moving out part, but really looking forward to the new c64 build in december (around 110 euro).

Well that's it for me again the past few months. TLDR go to the giveaway.

Hi Lugum. Glad to hear that your dad is in the clear and that your health is improving. Taking vitamin D should probably help with your fatigue. Hope so!

Thanks, i am since it was tested i had a shortage, but could be the liver/kidney is not handling it well that can also create the shortage versus just not eating properly for example, so i am trying it, but takes some time to see if it works and get another blood test done.
And then i am like when do you get off it? Same as with the milk thistle, then you basically have to quit a while and then another blood test (but what if you get a vitamin d shortage back again or high liver values).

Although i always had a fatigue thing, but it's worse since 3-4 months. And only recently tested i had a vitamin d shortage.

Most likely since vitamin D deficiency is closely linked to liver problems that you will eventually be able to get off the supplements when you liver is all healed. (Though personally, I take one milk thistle per day - insurance.) I guess that could take some time and testing, but you are making progress and that's a great thing. Just because your doctor didn't test you for vitamin D 4 months ago (or did he?) doesn't mean you didn't have it then too - you probably did as it's very common with liver ailments.

One liver enzyme value is still high (though it decreased but not enough) so i have to keep on that milk thistle for some months to go if that will even work dropping enough, else i'd have to go to the hospital and seek an internist.
Echo (so the "outside") and the other enzyme value is good now, so guessing the other value will hopefully drop enough too and then everything recovering, given time.

That's what i don't really know, because of the diabetes and other stuff i went to the doctor for i had many blood tests done over the years but not sure when it does include what, i know vitamins was included several times, just don't know for sure when it was the last time.

Are you on meds for diabetes? If so, best to keep in mind that the inulin in dandelion can lower blood glucose levels. Not necessarily a bad thing - ie a natural way to handle mild blood sugar problems. But if you are on meds it could require some monitoring of how much and what time of day you take it.

I got metformine, i usually am around the normal limit (7), sometimes it's higher (never been low).
Milk thistle could lower it too, but my levels were the same still.

Glad to hear that milk thistle worked for you. Did you used it in form of some pills or just did something with grass? Because I took pills based on it for quite some time with no effect(

In pill form (on a sidenote i tried some root/natural stuff for relaxation (can't come up with the name right now, but that was such a hassle and boy did it smell nor did that work) but you must really have the right minimum dosage (300mg) of the milk thistle in your pills, some might have low(er) dosages.
These are the ones i took. https://www.vitstore.com/specials/vitalize-silymarin.html
Also offcourse don't just drink any drop of alcohol one must completely eliminate that.

There could always still be a medical reason why it might not work for you, did you done tests in the hospital?

Of course I did tests, a lot of them, who do you think told me to take milk thistle pills? They also prescribed me some other medications later, as they said, more powerful ones... no effect. I'm planning to visit another hospital, maybe they well be able to advice something...
And I don't drink alcohol too, so it's not the reason.

Most doctors are actually not so eager to suggest natural stuff (maybe it depends per country), they just told me to just do another blood test without taking anything, while my levels didn't change for 6 months by itself and i didn't see the next test would be any different, it's was by own decision i went for milk thistle.

Unfortunately the internal organs are just so tricky, i read stories about people done 10-20 tests and still couldn't find a cause.
Which is probably frustrating.

I hope for you that they find something.

Thanks well i not really want to use/try too much things at a time, give my body also time to adjust it to things (milk thistle, extra vitamine d), though it does sounds promising and i do also have digestive problems (stool goes from pale to normal to black), so think the bile thing could be useful there. I'll think about it (and need to save up money again for a few weeks first).

We have them grow here aplenty though if i would pluck them i have to find a remote place, not getting them near a park or place* they use as a dog walking place. :p

Thanks. Yeah first we had a vectrex and then a c64, so nostalgia. :) Though not missing the 3 minute wait on the cassette tape.
I got the c64 mini but the cables are short, the joystick doesn't go very smooth, better to have something like the real thing, and when you can put in your own games then that's just even better.
Now if only it would be a success and they will do the amiga and msx next, and offcourse you can find them second hand still (they go for the same price as that new one gonna be lol) it's just also nicer to have it new and fresh.

I have a setup with a Datasette and a 1571 drive. But it's like having an old car, it breaks a lot, and need a lot of care. This C64 could be great alternative

Yeah and the original tend to crash at random, i wonder if they fixed that (i believe that actually can occur in the mini's), and this has HDMI, but we will see. ;)

The C64 was my first computer. Getting that new one would be cool, but if I never get it, at least I've got a lot of ROMs!

Glad to hear the thistle milk helped you a bit!

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well, but you seem to have the right idea about how to change that. These issues didn't just suddenly appear, and they won't suddenly disappear. Just as you adapted to being sick, you now have to adapt to healing up, and that is going to take time. Step by step, slowly and carefully, one day at a time, you are moving toward a healthier you. For now, you are still uncomfortable, but that is also a sign of your healing. As you continue to learn more about what your body needs (i.e. how it functions and responds to various things), and more about what foods and drinks benefit your condition, you can expect continued improvement. The rest is just patience.

Hang in there, man.

Very wise words to look at it, we often damage our body little by little, year after year yet we maybe expect it to be recovered within weeks, months even, but it might just take as long as some years too.

Patience i am really lacking and i know i have to keep learning that. :p

Thanks.
