The GTX 680 is on par with the 7970 (And considering the horrible drivers AMD provides, Im guessing better)
Check your control panel for the card, There might be an adaptive brightness or something turned on? IDK, Last time I owned an ATI card was years ago...
Honey! :D

According to this chart, the nVidia equivalent to your card would be GTX 590 / GTX 680.
Never experienced the brightness isssue you're talking about so have no idea... (and since I'm at work, no time to google it)

Yeah, you're right. I looked too quickly. (That's what I get for trying to research stuff while working.)
But Fandango is right, he could still overclock as the Ghz edition is simply a factory overclocked card.

...ldy old GTS 250 goodbye and got meself a shiny new Radeon HD R7970!The difference is amazing, i no longer have to stare at the ground while playing Skyrim! However i do have two questions:
1.What Nvidia card would be an equivalent to my radeon?
2.How do i keep brightness setting from changing every time i launch a game?
