Thought I'd share with you guys a company I recently discovered
SpoonRocket is a company in the US that makes gourmet food priced at $6 a meal and delivers it to you free of charge. Its menu, which changes everyday, consists of 2 meals: a veggie and nonveggie option. It was started by UC Berkeley graduates, hence the company is located in that area, but it hopes to expand nationwide.
Now, this is not intended to be an advertisement. To order meals, you need to be a member, but since they've just started up, they're offering free lifetime memberships for the time being. Otherwise it's $40/yr for just the membership. Signing up only requires an email and name, so you might as well do so even if you're not in the Berkeley area, in the event that they one day expand to your area.
Personally, I really like their mission of redefining fast food, and I'm hoping that they do expand to my area. My sister, who also studies at UC Berkeley, has tried their meals and has told me it's very good, albeit the portions might not be enough for some. And they have a crazy 4.5 star rating on Yelp (link).
I think there's promise in their business. What kinds of changes do you think this company will bring about, if any?
