So there's this relatively new site called Vidme for those of you who don't know, they're suppose to be the more content creator friendly version of Youtube. So far, I'm really liking it. The community feels way better than in Youtube and it gives smaller guys a chance to succeed. But Youtube is just youtube. It's all we've ever known.

There's no rule against gleam linking to gleam as such. It's only a problem if the gleam page you're linking to has tasks which wouldn't be allowed if they were links here, such as "visit this reflink to enter".

ahh i see, i believe most of my options are optional. i mean it'd be obliged if people did em but there's no need to force an audience anyways right?

Google has an unhealthy dominant position on many parts of Internet: search (some people even say "to google" instead of "to search"), video hosting ("youtuber" is apparently a job title - note how even on Twitch/Amazon people talk about "streamers" and not "twitchers"), advertising (Adsense), capatchas (ReCaptcha), analytics, e-mails (not so much but still I do have quite many contacts who use Gmail which means Google snoops over our conversations even though I don't want them to and I'm not a customer of theirs), etc, etc.
And they cross-reference all that data to learn your life and know you more than you know yourself. Creepy deep learning, yay :s

Not to mention Android and the Play Store and the rest of the Google Apps. Or the fact that they swallow innovative startups on a daily basis: they buy off the competition early rather than risk seeing a new competitor grow outside of their control.

Well I tried to keep it short. 🙃 So, go Vidme, Dailymotion, this and that 😎

the money is not really a factor for me, I wanna make videos people and myself can enjoy. To give this whole new age outlet a shot and if i make it thats awesome, and if i dont well at least i will be able to say i tried.
