creator of gifts can set this menu on when they wanna make some donation like unicef, worldvision or savethechildren.

I've ran one site that is also giveaway site all by myself that I did donate when people joined each giveaways.

for example, if it's hit 1,000 Entries, i did donate 1 cent every 1 entry.

some people did joined even they really didn't need that gifts. but they did cause ima donate 1 cent every count.

and this one can make people spend their points also with good reason.

yes. when creator of gifts want to set the donate.

they can purchase after closed the giveaway.

that donation amount will be sent direct to organization of the donation.

LATER. steamgifts.com can put more $ with people's giveaways when giveaways hit high entries or specific games like assassin's creed III (newest titles)

sorry for my bad english tho.

i am sure you guys can get what I meant.

thanks.

do good things for ppl who really need some help

Wut.
What do they purchase after the giveaway?
Steamgifts.com putting money with high entry giveaways?
Wut.
This is a community-driven charity-ish site already, if you weren't aware :|
(Does it count as charity if you give games to those who can't afford or don't have the means to get whatever they want?)

I think he means that the creator donates 1 cent for each entry,
but I didn't understand the rest...

The creator of a giveaway donates money, based on the amount of entries in his or her giveaway? Because giving away a free game wasn't enough? I'm not seeing how this is a good idea...

No he means that the creator of the giveaway donates a certain amount of money depending on how many people enter the giveaway.

Then I see no purpose on adding this system to the site,
as he can just look up on his enteries and donate...

site donates to charity for each giveaway entry

only problem is, op doesn't seem to know there is no money source for this available...

I think the OP means that people can specify an amount of $ to give to charity for every x entries. That means that people could no longer feel bad when they enter for a game they don't want because money gets to charity. Nobody would be forced to do that and the donation amount would be directly sent to the charity. I don't get what he means with "they can purchase after closed the giveaway." And he also means that more $ for more entries on higher priced games.

I hope that this is what he means.

Now my opinion:

Why should we need something like this in SteamGifts? And how should this be implemented SG? The giveaway creator could do this also without the help of SteamGifts and without the need to give SG his bank account or credit card details. Why should someone give a game away and donate money to charity?

If this is implemented, everybody will start joining every single giveaway, which will totally ruin the whole idea of SteamGifts

I do not believe SG is setup to take on a task like this (besides the fact that it's kind of vague). There was some raffle site I tried using for a couple of days that worked kind of like this, but it was all too spammy and not setup well, can't remember the name at the moment.

But how? The gifts on S.Gifts comes from regular users, who in turn purchase the items from various sources.

The closest would be to tie in with Steam and have them collaborate. That will never happen.

Yeah that is one great idea, let me just print some money... oh wait.

If you want that go to Playblink to have an option to donate to a charity.

Or you can just donate money to the charities. That's what I do.

No, bad idea.
That would, while being rather pointless and require changing a bit of the site, would encourage users to enter for a game they dont want.

If users want to do something like this, its a rather simple thing to do it yourself.
