I can't pay using paypal I paid $10 for a charity donation and it didn't take it from the card as normal it seemed to pay it it's self
Now it says

Firstly, you'll need to add £7.71 to your balance to bring it back up to zero

But when I go to use my card to pay the balance it then says

We're sorry, we're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later.

Been like this for many weeks and the automated help does nothing - the card is fine I use it on other sites and in shops all the time - and yes I have tried to delete it and re add it and that couldn't be done despite them telling me in the auto help to do that (over and over)

Anyone had this happen to them or know anything to do to fix it - thanks

I had the same issue, it started in the last week of August this year, when Paypal had problems. Because of these problems, my bank stopped all payment processes, which were done via Paypal.
I bought something - Paypal paid the vendor, but hasn't taken the money from my bank account, so my Paypal balance went into a negative amount. I wanted to pay it manually, but because of a very incompetent support worker, I couldn't. But Paypal sorted itself and after a while, they got the money from my bank.

I'd contact the Paypal support and ask them, why your balance is negative and can't be taken from your card.

EDIT: If your balance is negative for more than 120 days, Paypal can lock your account until you pay or at least contact the support.
PayPal may then forward the account to a debt collection agency, which may result in late payment fees and a permanent suspension.

Hi,
sorry, that I'm late. Luckily Hewson and snow have provided the according links, thank you both.

I personally have opened a ticket aand used their chat to resolve the problem.
