Favorite RPG of all time?

the RPGs i would recommend are: (in alphabetical order)

also got me a Deus Ex, Gothic 1-3 (haven't tried those yet, but seems to be good) and Mount & Blade (spent 10 hours already and liked it:) durinng sale.

Not sure I'd call either of these RPGs, although there is a lot of RPG elements in them... System Shock 2 closely followed by Deus Ex. Those are my favorites.

Mass Effect was good. I've never really been good at RPGs. The only one I ever "finished" was Fallout 3, so I'm gonna go with that.

Mass Effect 2 is my favourite RPG of all time probably.

I also love Final Fantasy Tactics and Suikoden II

hmm, Mount & Blade Warband. Absolutely love that game. And I'm not really into RPG's.

Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Gothic...

I'm a major RPG fanatic, so I have plenty of "favourite" RPGs. Some best of the bests would have to be Chrnono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI and IX, Nearly all of the main pokemon games, Any of the Mario RPGs, and as far as action RPGs go, I fell in love with both Mass Effect 2 (22 hours in 2 days right after I got it) and Borderlands. Despite me being fairly young, I do love me some old school RPG action.

I have a favorite series, if that counts. Suikoden is my all time favorite rpg series. I own all of them, and beat 1-5 about 3-10 times each and never get sick of them. The stories are nice, and how each one takes place in a different period of time and location of the same world is fairly neat. I also liked the mix of rpg and strategy elements put into play in the game.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic :-)

All time favourite has to be Ultima Online - I'm still waiting for a game created on a modern engine that allows that kind of character creation in a world that size... but not an MMO. TES games come closest I think. I'd have more luck making one myself lol.
