I'm debating on buying it now. I want it pretty bad, but I don't want to become addicted to anything. I've been pretty busy, and will be in the foreseeable future. Since the game plays itself when your gone, I'm paranoid that I'll play for a few hours, then get busy with school, and then come back to my entire crew dead. I might pick it up now for this summer though.

Not sure how true it is, but it's my understanding that the game only "plays itself" for two in-game days... which probably isn't enough to ruin you. Especially if you stockpile a bit before quitting.

its okay for a one playthrough and with mods to fix some dumb gameplay mechanics (i'll go on a massive rant if i go into them). i wouldn't pay more than £5 (its £7.49 atm so I would say that is too much) and I would also say that the DLC should of been a free upgrade as it basically just adds free roam mode. Bare in mind it was originally a console game too.

If you're specifically looking for a zombie game and like FPS games I recommend Contagion http://store.steampowered.com/app/238430/

Watchdogs is coming out next week, looks promising but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I don't pay full price for games though so I'll be waiting a few months for a sale.

State of decay is quite a small sandbox too and involves very repetative tasks, though mods can help to a degree. Its just mediocre really, at least for me.

Sleeping dogs may be one to try if you've not. its often on sale for £3.74 ($5 or so), can't think of much more other than the obvious. We need gta 5 to come out

I loved the heck out of that game. Janky, clearly straining against its development budget, but it's the open world zombie game I've wanted ever since Grand Theft Auto III.
