Kickstarters (no ga)

Hey everyone, I was just reading through the FAQ section, making sure nothing has changed in the time I've been gone, and had a question. I've got a couple friends who are developing games or have developed them, and are looking for support for them. Of course, i wouldn't want to post anything that's against the rules so my question is, say I manage to convince one of them to let me do a giveaway with their game, is linking their kickstarters beforehand to generate interest and try to get it to the point I can share some copies here allowed or does that fall under the whole referral and monetary gain section of the guidelines? What if they come here with their own account and post it themselves?

I'm sure it's allowed. Thou if game is shit ' lolz it has cardz profitz $$$' ( the one under development ) dont expect much .

Nah I wouldn't even consider it unless it's a game I think will be good or at least a good laugh like who's your daddy was

I have seen several threads promoting kickstarters...so I think it's ok to post it.
If your friends are serious they should post it themselves, so they can interact with possible customers and answer questions.

You can promote kickstarters, but I think You can't give away their game because it needs to be redeemed in 7 days. Unless they'll finish the game and put it on Steam in 7 days :)

Kickstarters if I post them will be to get the games to the point they are on Steam then once they are a giveaway would follow. I've still gotta talk to them about doing it, once I see a bit more of the development and see that it will be a good game or not of course

Usually people create giveaway of some game to promote their own game. But promoting kickstarters with promise of giveaway afterwards I'm not sure about that.
