If you haven't read it, here you go.

It left me wanting so much more and it somehow felt like a teaser, but to what? That I think is a really intriguing question to ponder. ;)

What your guys thoughts to those I imagine to be a very small community of HP fans?

Apparently she has officially stated that there will not be any more HP.

She has stated this, but shit changes. Lucas said in the mid 80s there was never going to be any more Star Wars movies either.

I want other books, I know this isn't possible. But i want to go to Hogwarts again, I miss all the magic world. I was lucky I saw the first film and then read the books when I was 11-17, now I'm 21 but... Sometimes I wonder about a new saga.

Same here. First heard of the movies, so I started the first book at 9 and fell in love with immediately. Funny, I'm also 21 now and I can't help but feel like restarting the series that ended for me when I was also 17...

Weird coincidence...

She created an interesting world to get lost in, which appealed to both kids on grown-ups. I don't mind that she tried writing something different, but she probably realized herself that the rest, while not bad, was quite average.
There's a lot more that the Wizarding World can give in terms of side stories, characthers and exploration. I'm glad that I'll get to see more of it.

To those who disliked Harry Potter: sorry guys, you'll have to deal with it/us for some more time. :p

I've read the four first books and I've seen all the movies. I really like this universe but I'm not hyped about possible sequels.

I've read all the books at least 5 times each, watched all the movies and i pretty much love everything about it.
When i first heard that she's writing again on this, i had my doubts that she might ruin it all, but i just read this "article" now, and i just feel so happy to read those things about my most beloved characters even though they're mostly Rita Skeeter's mean gossips...
I loved it.
I'm waiting for another book.

I, for one, loved it! It indeed made me feel that something might happen in the near future! I missed Jo's magical writing so much! And it's clear that Rita hasn't changed much!
Rita does mention that Harry might be fighting some other evil, being an Auror and all. We could get a short adventure book on the main character's life. There are so many possibilities!!!

Good to know that there are HP fans here as well :D

My thoughts (to Rowling): "Don't go there unless you're truly prepared to 'go the distance.'"
(speaking from experience)

I have often dreamed
Of a far off place
Where a great warm welcome
Will be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying
This is where I'm meant to be

I will find my way
I can go the distance
I'll be there someday
If I can be strong
I know every mile
Will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere
To feel like I belong

I am on my way
I can go the distance
I don't care how far
Somehow I'll be strong
I know every mile
Will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere to find where I belong

Also, thoughts: I feel like this is just a compilation of the information previously released on Pottermore as well as from tidbits in the book 7 epilogue. I'm always up for more HP, though! Bring on the FBaWtFT tie in novels and Marauders prequels (like the James and Sirius short story)!

I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago. Why stop milking the cash cow? Did she feel she had enough money already?
This answers the question. She didn't.

The last line is a possible hidden release date:

"And for those who want to know exactly how imperfect they are, my new biography: Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob will be available from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st. "

Thoughts?

Meh... never really loved Rowling books, HP copied so many stuff from old sagas but well, people liked it, it was nicely done, the movies were great i must say. Watched everyone bcause some friends really loved them, not really interested in the next book but i know that somehow ill end up watching the movie with some friend...

I'll be honest, I'm obsessed with Harry Potter. I read the first book when I was 7 years old and have reread and rewatched the movies hundreds of times (The first movie alone I watched daily for 2 years not even joking..oh god that's sort of sad) since then so I'm really happy to read anything HP related. As much as I'd love more HP books, the series is best left alone as it is, so I think the best way to keep the magic going is for little articles or short stories like these! I'm still crossing my fingers for some short story about the Marauders though. :)

I enjoyed it immensely. Reading those names and seeing actions attributed to them was like visiting with old friends again even if its in the guise of a Skeeter gossip piece. I'm kind of torn on whether or not I want her to write more, but I know that I will be first in line to purchase any future HP books. I hope this is the start of something bigger or it triggers something in her to write more of these characters.

My favorite book series are Harry Potter and Hunger Games, so I guess I would like a new Harry Potter book too.

For a second I thought it was book 8: Harry Potter and the Hunger Games, something like book 4 or one of those bootlegged stories maybe.

I'm not a huge fan of the epilogue so this oneshot didn't do much for me. I prefer reading the fanfictions the community's come up with (I've read hundreds, eh. The HP fanfiction community's probably the most prolific out there). In my opinion, JK Rowling doesn't really write mature subjects all that well.

I loved the movies (I struggle to read) but I think she needs to let the series go.
