Getting GameMaker: Studio Professional (and the Modules) from this Bundle allows you to get a Steam Key. After 14 days from activating your licence in the system please go to your YoYo Account and enter your email address on the in the licence recovery field at the bottom of the licences tab. You should receive a list of your licence keys. More information can be found here).
Seems like Steam keys will be available.

What happens if you give that key to somebody else?

No, you can give the Steam key away, it's not tied to your account by default. The person who activates the Steam key can then create their own YoYo games account and link their Steam account to that. The language in your YoYo account specifically says:
"Link your Steam account to use your GameMaker: Studio licence purchased from Steam"
In other words, license activation can occur one of two ways, either activate on Steam then link to a YoYo account, or activate on YoYo and then optionally get a key for Steam. In other words, if you activate on Steam you don't need a YoYo activation key. The activation occurs by account linking not via a key.

Wondering the same. There's additional modules in this bundle that weren't in the last one. Considering buying it for the additional modules, but it would be unfortunate for the main program key to go to waste.

GameMaker: Studio Professional is 149.99$ alone, so tier 1 for me.

Anyone developing anything professionally, or trying to become professional, are usually willing to pay for the tools of the trade.
If you just want to play games, then GameMaker probably isn't worth a dollar to you. But for someone wanting to create games, it could be worth a lot more than $149.99.
Just like a sack of manure is worth more to a farmer than to most people.

Game maker is a piece of shit, it's not worth $1 much less $150.

Haha, this is a pretty big exaggeration. Even if you've moved on to Unreal/Unity, GameMaker is an awesome tool to quickly implement a concept or mock-up.

If you are interested in developing games, even on a very limited introductory hobbyist level, I very strongly recommend buying tier 3 of this bundle. I think the fact that this bundle exists means that we will be seeing v.2.0 in the not-too-distant future, but despite that $15 for these tools is a no-brainer investment for anyone interested in game development.
GameMaker Studio is a really great environment for beginner developers, and offers a great place for rapid development, prototyping, and even finished products for skilled and dedicated developers. The community is also very large and pretty noob friendly, so tutorials and help are all quite accessible for total beginners. With the right mindset and planning for certain genres of games, it can be used to deliver some stunning finished products... and I think the engine takes a bit too much flak in this regard.
Here are some examples of games that were made in GameMaker Studio:

Ok, two things. First, Hotline Miami was remade with the different dev kit due to some issues. Second, about Spelunky, you meant the game that is now known as Spelunky Classic, not the Spelunky HD. I thought not clarifying these might've been misleading.

Hotline Miami was actually originally built in GameMaker 7, and a lot has changed with the engine to where it is at now with GameMaker Studio. A lot of the problems it had would probably be solved with the way the current GameMaker Studio operates. The game itself is pretty much unchanged, however, even after the transition to PhyreEngine (Sony's proprietary engine).
I think the main reason for the engine change in both Hotline Miami and Spelunky HD was mostly due to increased platform viability and optimization -- mainly, getting the games ported to consoles like the Playstation and Playstation Vita because GameMaker can't compile for consoles. The ports/updated versions were being handled with a much larger budget due to the popularity and success of their GameMaker versions, and therefore they could afford to hire a strong programming team to more finely tune performance to the different platforms.

Thanks for the tips. Still pondering the purchase but this helps. :D

Thanks for Uncanny Valley. Suprised noone took it before me. :)

At first I've thought this would be an easy no for me. However I think I will give Tier 1 a try. Uncanny Valley seems nice and there is at least a 1% chance that the GMPro-Addon could be awesome at some time. Additionaly I love most of the games from Butterscotch Shenanigans, these developers are amazing, Flop Rocket is a veryveryvery good (and superhard) mobile game.

Solstice is one I am interested in but not that way :S so pass this one!

You should be able to get Solstice in the trade section here, without too much fuss

This is fantastic. Have been meaning to get the mobile modules for awhile.

Glad it's a terrible bundle to be honest since I just subscribed to Humble Monthly for Grim Dawn and I bought the $15 tier of Capcom's PS3/4 bundle. I've spent enough for awhile.

put in my email for the free stuff since i have a sizable humble library anyway so maybe i'll play them someday.

Hey people what's the Steam equivalent to tier 3 Windows UWP Module? I found all the other DLC but this one seems to be missing on Steam?
Also, seems that you'd need to activate the GameMaker Professional DLC if you want to use the other GameMaker DLC.

Go for 001 Game Creator
But I need to buy this GameMaker Bundle too. That awesome offer is too awesome :)
