irks me that i hit the 'attack' button when it appeared, And it said i swung first, only to slip and get killed? Poo, i say!

Some guys died even more horrible death :( It is as it is now, dependency on luck will be decreased in the next Game though! And in general, many things will be remade and added. Less frustration - more exploration!

Unable to play, I have steam extended installed and it picks my year of birth as 1955. When I try to enroll for game, it says error the account is 1600 something days old

It might display a wrong number of days (I will look into it), but it should detect correctly if your account is too young. Only accounts older than 180 days are allowed to play. This is the only restriction, it was made to prevent making multiple accounts to play the Game.

Huh, I don't know what you guys did that takes so long... I spent the first day mainly checking the first room (i.e. stupidly clicked the "check" buttons multiple times not noticing the energy), the second day to sneak past some monsters and the third day sneaking back and getting the price ;-)
Must have taken the luckiest path ever... And I thought the whole "One other player found the treasure" was an error in the display :D

Day 5 results!
The Game lasts a little bit longer than I expected, but it is still slowly getting to the end!
We've got 18 Winners as of today! That means that only 32 more adventurers will be lucky enough to find the main treasure!
Overall, 421 people have entered the dungeon, and 133 of them will never leave it :P
So, there are 270 people left and only 32 of them can become the next Winners!
The next day will start, as usual, at 00:00 UTC, so don't forget to spend any energy that you still have before that time :)

Day 6 results!
Day 6! It's been almost a week now since the Game has started, but a lot of adventurers are still walking through the dungeon searching for treasures.
Unfortunately, the treasure giveaways will finish soon, and for that reason I have to announce that the Game will end on Monday at 16:00 UTC if the necessary number of winners will not be reached by that time. That's good news for those who have won the Game already, since they will get a better chance to win the main giveaways, and probably bad news for those who have joined just recently, though everyone (among the survivors) still has a chance to win!
Now, let's see some stats!
- 439 players have entered the dungeon :)
- 145 of them have died :(
- The main treasure has been claimed by 24 adventurers!
- And that means that 26 people still can join the "winners' club" :)
There are just 2 energy replenishments left, so decide wisely how to spend your energy :)

It's been exactly one week since the Game was launched, and it finally comes close to an end.
It will finish tomorrow at 16:00 UTC!
Today, at 00:00 UTC, all remaining adventurers will get their last portion of energy. Use it smartly! :)

Finally, a little more than a week after its launch, the Game has come to an end!
- 474 people took part in the adventure :)

Let's see what killed those poor guys!
- 28 people lost their arm because of a mysterious monster behind the wall.
- 40 people were shot by an arrow. No, not in the knee!
- 42 guys' heads were smashed by a boulder.
- 8 people lost their head because of the metal blade.
- 34 people were killed by the goblin while trying to run past him.
- 9 people were killed by the goblin while trying to kill him.
Goblin's stats:

Deaths: 48
He did his best to protect the treasure :)

Hello SteamGifters! All of us like playing games, and all of us like winning games. So, how about playing a game and winning games while playing?
Introduction
I am excited to introduce Game of sWords - a text Adventure/Quest where you can explore dungeons (or other locations), complete quests, solve puzzles, find useful items, avoid deadly traps and fight dangerous monsters while searching for treasures (SteamGifts giveaways links) on your way and trying to reach the end to find the Main Treasure (a set of great non-bundle giveaways)! Each Game (of sWords) will usually have a unique scenario and a limited number of winners, so the chances will always be great.
Game of sWords is currently in a testing stage, so there might be some bugs or other problems during the Game, and I would be glad if you reported them if you experience any :)
Current Game
In the current (testing) scenario, you start the Game in the dungeon and you have to find the treasure chest. You have 7 energy points at start, which you can use to either move in any available direction or check a wall or other obstacle near you (you might find a useful item or a treasure anywhere). If you run out of energy, you will have to wait until 00:00 UTC when your energy will be replenished and you will be able to continue your journey. Resting time and number of energy will differ depending on the scenario (current one is quite short). It will usually take a few days to complete a journey (well, if you won't die during your first day :) ).
The information in the top left corner will tell you your current coordinates, direction and the amount of energy you have.
Note
Current Game doesn't have any special story or wide variety of events or items. It also doesn't have too many "treasures" at the moment. It was made to show you the basic concept of the project as well as test the server load.

If you are a creative person who can make up an interesting story for the future Game, feel free to add me on Steam and share it with me. It doesn't have to be set in a fantasy dungeon :) It can be a sci-fi or horror adventure, or any other kind.
Future plans
In the near future, everyone will be able to create his/her own adventure with unique story, events, rules, etc. using the special Scenario Editor. If all goes well, it will become a unique platform, another creative way to make giveaways for SteamGifts (like itstoohard or so called "trains" :) ).
The project will be constantly developed: new items, event types and even game modes will be added gradually. The Games (of sWords) will be held once in a while, probably every couple of weeks, it depends on how much free time and support I will have :)
Time to start the adventure!
You will be asked to log in through Steam to join the Game. The login process goes through the official steamcommunity.com website (always make sure the address is correct!) using Steam API and it is not possible to collect any personal data like your address, age, login or password with it unless such data is made public by you, so the process is absolutely safe.
The giveaways have no level restrictions, and you don't need to meet any special requirements to start playing, so everyone is invited!
P.S. I have no idea how many people will take part in the Game and whether the current server will handle it, so if any loading problems appear, I'll try to upgrade it as soon as possible ;P
