I dunno i am not in that but i guess i am not very active in forums or i am just a pleb with no friends.

the assumption at start of the event 8 months ago was that members who were lvl 6 and up were already more or less pretty well known in the community / part of some nice groups.... otherwise the same high lvl people who get nominated all the time would have been nominated for this event too...

I was only level 4, 8 months ago, in february.

you did make some nice progress! You might have been a good candidate, though making ga's is only one part of it, we value forumactivity, event/puzzle making and/or general niceness just as high. In the end it all came down to being named by someone; and forumactivity helps with being recognised. Not ideal, I know.

Precisely 8 months ago a nomination event ended. In those days a lot of well known SG members announced their retirement and me and Fruitbean wondered: Who will dominate the forum now? Who will make all those ga's? Who will make our brains hurt with puzzles? Who will do those fun events? In other words: who will be the next SG heroes?
And -with your help- we found them: 63 heroes! And, oh my, did they contribute to this community.
Since then some members left or were asked to leave and new heroes joined us and now 64 SG members can proudly claim they're the Next SG Heroes. Since they joined us they made numerous puzzles and events, spammed the forum with 74.087 comments and made 9.921 giveaways worth 23.782,28 real CV.
sooo... I promised you some stats on the individual heroes after 6 months, but since I was away and lazy it became 8... Also: I decided to do no popularity poll. This is no beauty pageant. They are all equally beautiful... :) That being said, here are the numbers!
