Did they decrease the interval to one day? The last dozens of Humble's giveaways lasted two days (Thu 18:00 CET - Sat 18:00 CET).

How would that prevent people from farming cards? Nothing stops people from creating Steam accounts, right? I mean, you might not have access to the market or stuff like that if you don't spend at least 5$ but... if someone creates, say 10 alt farming accounts, they can just add the game to every account and then trade the cards to their main after the idling is done..

People are selling the keys or trading them for stuff that was not given free. There probably very low demand for a Steam account with one previously free game

I know..and as I am a semi-regular trader, I've seen this happened. But what more infuriated me was seeing people trying to trade a freebie(s) for something that has never been free . It's just not ok in my book.

Not only you can't trade as Quisty said but cards won't even drop unless you spend those 5$. And people who make 10 accounts just to farm 0.05$ cards usually don't have 50$ to spend on "activating" them. The expiration deadline is just the date, after which you won't be able to generate the key on the Humble site. If you did that before and saved the key somewhere, you are good.

But... I thought that some of those giveaways already had a deadline to activate the keys? I mean... it's better than nothing, right? That should prevent resellers to hoard them and sell those in the future. A (short) expiration date to me is the way to go. But I certainly wouldn't mind it if we could only redeem keys to our linked account on top of that.

keys from this giveaway on sale right now for few cents. On one shady site I see someone with 6000 keys. So yes, they all steal from humble.

You login, then go to https://www.dlh.net/en/steam-keys.html and scroll down till you see the game. It will have a button under it to claim a key.
