I think basically all games on Xbox can be played on Pc with gamepass

https://store.steampowered.com/app/753640/Outer_Wilds/
so no neither are exclusive for x-box

yes you did you said or did you mean on though x-box game pass on x-box can you play them becuase i thought you meant outside of x-box they are not on pc - sorry if i misunderstood you
Comment has been collapsed.
yep, I mentioned XGP but was not very clear I guess. Kingdom Hearts III can be played on a console with xgp, but is not available on PC with xgp. The same was with Outer Wilds, with the exception of cloud — which is only available on xgp ultimate, not basic

oh ok never bothered with game pass - i have too many games as it is without buying more though a service

kingdom hearts 3 is also on ps4 and switch from the ten second search on google i just did

Premised that for my personal taste PC is the best videogames system for me and also the best deal in long terms too,
this said some people not have time or want or is not able to configure videogames or gaming systems as a PC,
they prefer to play on consoles as a Xbox\Playstaion\Nintendo,
just start the game and play without worry about configurations.
In a PC you must to login many stores (Steam,Origin\EADeskop,UbisoftConnect,RockstarLauncher etc.) sometimes also 2 at the same time for a game can be plaed this can hurt such people.
PC videogames can't be optimized for only 1 hardware too,
because pc hardware is dynamic (change), so different problems can happens with videogames\ports on pc
(example a game don't star with a localized language or a game not work with some display resolution or hardwares,or the controller not work if not disable or enable something settings etc.)
in consoles instead the hardware is static and announced,
so it' easy for developers and consoles store publishers to release a ready to play version of the game for a locked hardware configuration..
So Consoles in my opinion don't use the same target\customers of PC most of time,
XBOX has done also an excellent work about their devices for support people with health problems for what i see whit my personal experience (adaptive controllers etc).
My favorite videogames (Astroneer,Witcher3,Sekiro,RDR2,Bioshock,Deusex etc.) most of time it's Multiplatform games for both pc and consoles...and is NOT "Exclusives" , so personally i don't see all this "Need" or "quality" in the exclusives for consoles..
All Videogames for XBOX and PC from Microsoft Publisher or Xbox Studios is beautiful in my opinion ,
i liked SeaOfThieves,Grounded,Ori,Pshyconauts2,VoodooVince,Halo,Forza,JadeEmpire,Gears Of War\Gears,VivaPinata,SunsetOverdrive,BanjoKazooieNuts and Bolt,Fable,Blinx,QuantumBreak,Recore,Super Lucky’s Tale,Kameo and many others...
Personally i buy and like also some videogames from Nintendo and Playstation,for example i own Zelda,Mario,AnimalCrossing,GolfStory and i like them,
i also buy\own HorizonZeroDawn\DetroitBecomeHuman in steam\epic for PC that is from the playstation (also if i must say they excell in Storytelling and VISUAL,but is ver POOR quality in gameplay\freedom open world and physic, if compared with XBOX\Nintendo and PC games that is much better in this see for example how zelda interact with enviroments fire spread in grass,arrows can be trow and get back with physic,barrels rolls follow terrain etc , or see games as Astroneer in PC that has much better physic than some PS exclusives)
i like so much Jak&Daxter and shadow of colossus\ico for the first playstation consoles (and personally i don't give a *** about the graphic is old) and i like them more than some recent ps5\ps4 games.
And i like to play also amiga500 games the adventure of robin hood,warlords(i buy on gog.com too) ,Syndicate,Elite (today pc elite dangerous),captain blood etc.
For Publishers\Developers it's most of time a better earn\profit to release their games in multiplatforms\stores instead of only 1,this is why
Playstation already "Lose" more than 70% of their ex\old exclusives that is now on XBOX or PC or stream cloud services (Stadia,amazonLuna,soon Netflix ec)
See Detroit Become Human,HeavyRain,DragonQuest,Nioh,Bugsnax,Shenmue,Abe,DeathStranding,FinalFantasy,DaysGone,HorizonZeroDawn,MGS,Tomb Raider,Tekken,SoulBlade,PES,AceCombat,Crash Bandicoot,Spyro,Sekiro (thetodaytenchu) etc.
it's all videogames that has been EX\OLD playstation exclusives but now is already all or some in XBOX or PC too ,
Top of this Playstation offer some of their PS4 games also via streaming for PC (via psnow service) and some other PS4 games in the PC store STEAM or EPIC.
Microsoft earn money\profit from both XBOX and PC (and they earn more money than playstation or nintendo) so they don't need have exclusives it's a better deal for microsoft to provide their games for both XBOX an PC.
You can subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass service and play the games on it on both PC or XBOX (up o you)
Top of this XBOX users\gamers with country enabled to do rewards.microsoft.com can earn around $10€ at month just by only play quests and then get FREE full original games with it at https://www.microsoft.com/it-it/store/deals/games/pc .
And also if it's not the "NOW" situation,Playstation TOO still try to follow microsoft in this path of business,the fact that some games that only 5 years ago has been on PS4 now is on PC say something.
Right now,the only console that has 100% exclusives is the Nintendo (Switch\Lite) but probabily Nintendo too will follow the multiplatform business soon or later because is the only way to earn + money.
it's same if you create something and you can sell it in 10 stored by earn X10 profit ,but instead you force yourself to sell it only in your store by earn only X1
it's up to you to own a PC or an XBOX or both,it depend what do you need.
If you buy a game Published by Microsoft or Plastation in PC,
is mean Microsoft or Playstation EARN MONEY and then they can use this money for create others XboxStudios or PlaystationStudios videogames.
So Playstation or Microsoft don't care if you buy an Xbox\Playstation Console or if you buy the Game in a PC,because the money of the game you buy in PC or Consoles will go to their wallet.
Also in the future years the ""Fanboysm" about own a "powerful console" or "pc" will finish,
because soon all companies included playstation,nintendo and microsoft,
will start a sort of "Rent\Subscription" services for these consoles so what will happen then will be that people NOT need to buy the console for $500€ but can just get it for only $41€ (or maybe less too) at month
Top of all this , the concept to have\own or buy\rent a "Powerful Hardware" PC or CONSOLE will soon be OBSOLETE ,
because with the advanced technology of internet high speed and the governs that will fix soon or later the problem about "RuralAreas" in the future people will just plug a device little as an USBPEN in whatever device and then will play with it all Playstation\Xbox\Nintendo and PC videogames via Cloud\Streaming with 0 Lag\Delay thanks to ai software that will help in this too or if who own a PC economic will can play it via streaming too.
And yes i know today streaming\cloud services\internet sucks BUT in future they will be like LOCAL play,0 difference,this will be the future and it don't matter if people like it or not (me personal prefer NOW,also because i like to setup the games graphic\setttings by myself so i don' like these future plans,but Videogames Industry it's a business so they don't care what we prefer).
Also if i must say i don't like how Playstation and Nintendo Advertesing their products (both hw and software) with many lies,(sometimes at the limit of scam\fraud\legality too) and personally i'm shocked how the european union commission at least never take actions in this.
For example advertising consoles as 4K when they is not,or show games in conferences that has never been released also after 10 years (or has been released not same as they show with fake CG videos)
if other people that work in other industries\product do this,they go jail for fraud scam,but in the videogames industry this is allowed to do,very strange,so personally i also think that if Playstation and Nintendo continue to Lies in this way (also if it's "just marketing") soon or later hey will have big problem (their products can get blocked in some continents and\or can get fined).
i also don't like how Nintendo try to force people to buy piece of plastic (Amiiboos etc.) that is NOT really needed (the same dlcs can be given just via DLCs there is no reason to force people to buy physical statues for the same thing) , but this is only 1 example,they do this in many others things too
The same i can say about the old "Playstation Memory Cards" or today "Xbox Storages" cards...
Also i think that it's absurd that in nearly 2022 consoles (STEAMDECK Excluded):
1) don't allow people to use whatever controller but instead force people to buy only their branded controller (and this is not a good deal too,why need buy a $64€ Playstation\Nintendo\Xboxx controller when i can just play with whatever other $25€ controller
2) don't allow people to use Magnetic interchangable or Modular Thumbstick
3) don't allow people to manage with full freedom graphic settings,fan speed, savefiles,have a browser (PS5 remove it) etc.
in my opinion playstation and nintendo consoles must give + freedom of use same as in PC or STEAMDECK,instead of trasform the hardware to be usble only for see the store.
For example i would have been happy to can use a switch lite for move the mouse cursor of my pc too,or for browse the internet (Something that steamdeck can do) or a ps5 too for surf the internet and why not play also cloud games etc'...
it's a shame tha such powerful hardware can't be used for other things.
and yes i know some "hackers" is able to do it,but is no this that i mean,in my opinion these companies must to give FULL USE of their devices same as the console STEAMDECK from Valve see https://www.steamdeck.com/ (steamdeck has Modular thumbstick,can use internet browsers,can use it as controller or mouse for pc,can use all graphic settings in videogames etc.. and you can play with it with other controllers too valve don't force you to buy a valve controller for it like playsation nintendo or xbox instead do)
And i can understand that for old consoles this has been done for avoid lose of power (optimization) or a "secure ecosytem",
but with consoles powerful as PS5 (that btw is the PC of 11 years ago LOL) it's absurd that we have 0 control of it by can't use browser,can't use free graphic settings etc it's really a shame.

i know are not all or most x-box console exclusives on or coming t o pc if not though steam thought something like epic?
Comment has been collapsed.
This said https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/4VqfVhV some old xbox\xbox360 games can' be played in local on pc,for example tenchuz or the bourne cospiracy or riddick ,otogi etc.,so maybe for some of these that if\when it's not in the cloud maybe useful to play them on xboxseries|S|X or with their old original system Xbox\Xbox360 if\when they is compatible and for people that don't want to use emulators , but this is valid only if someone it's "obsessed" to need to play all games released , because viceversa you can just say i can play Sekiro on PC instead of Tenchuz on xbox\xbox360 and this can be applied also for "Exclusives" you can say i can play SunsetOverdrive\BatmanArkhamKnight\ShadowOfMordor instead of a "PS5 Spiderman" or AnHatinTime\YokaaLaylee instead of a "Mario" etc, so it's up to people and their feel and need tto own a console or a pc or both , or maybe someone can say i prefer to play zelda and not give a *** abou horizon zero dawn or a PC\PS5 for it etc. ,it's up to people taste\feel because gaming it's not an essential need,it's not a food or a vaccine that if you nott do it risk die for covid19 or miss eat , if you not play not die and if you own a pc or an xbox or playstation or nintendo too or maybe own ALL them, up tto people ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
There is also the fact that some videogames has Partnership\Marketing reasons that make them be better in some platform..
For example one TombRaider has been better on Xbox than on PC because updated with better textures etc. for who is not able to modify the game byself by files or apply mods etc.
And there is someother games that has been created for play with a specific console controller or touch system and then if the PORT of that game from the console to thhe PC version is NOT done well,then the PC version don't play well...
So the best thing in my opinion,for who can afford it,it's to own all consoles + PC and then just buy\play the game where it is cheaper and\or look\play better (it depend what people are looking for)

i'd get a switch for sure if i wanted non pc games
Comment has been collapsed.
Yup. Still doesn't say that I bought the Xbox only to play exclusive titles. It still is just a question to get game recommendations for titles you can only get on Xboxes. And there are still plenty of titles not available on PC and not included in Gamepass. So it's an absolute valid question.
Comment has been collapsed.
because he wants games not on other platforms for which there are none - should of done his reaserch first (unless this is it) and both the games you mentioned are also on steam at least so not what he seems to want
Comment has been collapsed.
i am not being anything he bought it without checking first if or what the exclusive games were - and he wants only games NOT able to be bought or played else where
Comment has been collapsed.
well if you had done your research you'd know that there are like 0 exclusive games
Comment has been collapsed.
that's a 360 game i wasn't talking about that fossil i was taking about the console you actually bought
Comment has been collapsed.
well i saw you had a ps5 thread - why don't i start listing off ps3 exclusives then?
Comment has been collapsed.
Because the PS5 is only downwards compatible to the PS4 while the Xbox Series X is downwards compatible to all previous Xbox consoles, although not all previous games.
To quote someone with a wiggly nose: "should of done her reaserch first" ;)

Xbox exclusives are on PC, so there is nothing "exclusive" on xbox. The focus on xbox is gamepass service, backwards compatibility and older exclusives not included on gamepass for PC nor PC store (such as Halo 5, Forza Horizon 1 and 2, Forza Motorsport 5 and 6, and few other games).
Anyways, if you don't mind subscription services, you should honestly consider getting gamepass ultimate, there is a trick to get it cheap using the xbox conversion system up to a max stack of 3 years of subscription time. Basically you buy 3 years of xbox live gold, add it to your account, then buy 1 month ultimate to convert all 3 years to ultimate, xbox offers first time subscriptions to ultimate 1€ for 1 month and sometimes 1€ for 3 months (around summer time).
Gamepass ultimate gives you access to all exclusives on launch day, along with alot of non exclusives on launch day, along with the many random games, some iconic, some are meh.
For xbox games in general, you should play (random order):
-Gears games (you can play older titles from 360 via backwards compatibility if i am not mistaking, so you can buy those);
-Halo MCC (it offers all halo games up to 4 in a single package, it's a must play, then again, it is also available on PC and is much better there because you can use mods to change the games, should play in release order due to evolving gameplay);
-Halo 5 guardians (probably the worst halo campaign, but still worth playing, online component is good tho, but with halo infinite MP being f2p in december, idk if H5 is worth playing for MP tbh, leaving it with the story component only, which is not that great, should play after MCC);
-Halo wars 1 and 2 (RTS games, different stuff, but the plot is good, should play them after H5 i guess);
-Any Forza games, all Forza Horizon titles are unique imo, specially the first one since it feels similar to a need for speed game but better gameplay. FH2 feels more arcadey but the map is consider to be the best, along with FH3 (which is often considered the best one for road racing along with potential best map aswell). FH4 offers the biggest variety with the weather system but the map... is boring as hell (it's in the UK, so expect the same scenario most of the time). Forza Motorsport games, All of them are worth playing, It might get boring to replay the same type of game, if that is an issue, go for FM2, FM4 and FM7, these are the most iconic FM games and all of them are different from each other. FM3 looks similar to FM4, FM5 and 6 look similar to FM7 (though i do prefer the visual aspect on FM5, cars in that game look brighter, making paintjobs feel more vibrant than on FM7, which looks simple);
-Crackdown games might be worth taking a visit, 3rd one was... a flop. So don't expect much from that one. Though as a sandbox game, it might be worth playing for a few hours;
-Sunset overdrive, unique game that used to be xbox exclusive... sold poorly as a xbox launch title due to early drama, but the game is actually good;
-Quantum Break, another underrated game;
-Ori and the blind/will (both games, good indie stuff);
-State of decay 1 and 2 (1 is solo but still worth playing, 2 is solo but has co-op, both are very good zombie survival games);
-Psychonauts 1 and 2 if you fancy that stuff;
-Sea of Thieves, a good co-op game, give it a try;
-Fable games, generally good RPG games, worth playing;
-Grounded, can be somewhat fun despite being a kids game;
-Hellblade, a must play, this is the one game that feels like a Sony exclusive, it offers a similar type of gameplay and narrative to Sony games, cinematic approach with third person view focusing on character interaction;
-Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons, if you fancy these games;
-Recore, give this one a try, you might like it or not;
-Ryse: Son of rome, you should play this, good plot, gameplay becomes too repetitive at some point but the plot isn't that long, so it's playable;
-The outer worlds, also worth playing;
Out of this list, the only games i did not try out is psychonauts and minecraft. I recommended them because psychonauts is usually brought up often as a good game and minecraft is... well minecraft.
There might be more games i am forgetting, but i bet the majority is here already. You should honestly get gamepass for this stuff though. Unless you hate subscriptions like this, but gamepass has all of this stuff included, and if you know what you are doing, you can get 3 years gamepass ultimate for around 100€. Which is extremelly cheap for what the service offers, and is the main reason why gamepass ultimate is blowing up. This will not be there forever, so you should take advantage of the conversion system while it exists. I'm certain xbox will change things in the near future, making it not as cheap to convert xbox live gold into ultimate.
If you get gamepass ultimate, you will get access to alot more games than these ones. Both new, upcoming and older titles. Right now is a great time to play the yakuza games on gamepass, last year it was kingdom hearts. Yakuza games will be leaving around february 2022 i believe, not all of them, but they will start leaving gamepass by then, so you have plenty of time to play that series. Xbox games will remain in the subscription, only way of them being removed is due to license terms expiring for games, such is the case of older forza games, license agreement for cars forces them to remove the games early and prioritise the new ones.

There still are a lot of older Xbox titles that never found it's way to PC so at the moment I have no ways to get them. Which makes the titles - wait for it - exclusive :-P
Nevertheless, thank you for your detailed hints. Very appreciated! Although I nearly knew everything you wrote, some things were new to me. Thanks!
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, i mentioned that point on my comment, older titles not included on pc store or pc gamepass. I haven't been tracking backwards compatible games for a while.
You have to keep in mind that backwards compatibility on xbox one and series consoles does not work in the sameway as xbox 360. Xbox 360 works with some older games where xbox one and series can't. Such is the case with the jet set radio future, which is a xbox exclusive. So it might be worth investing on a 360 if you see enough reason to buy one, they are cheap nowadays. JSRF is one of my favourite games from all times, along with the original JSR from dreamcast. Only way to play JSRF is via XBOX original or 360 backwards compatibility. Perhaps PC emulation too.

You're right. Backwards compatible to all previous Xboxes but not all previous games. I think somewhere within this thread I mentioned that already :D
Who knows, maybe I will get an older console to have the full range of backwards compatibility. I'm still undecided on that. Thank you again for your comment.

no i didn't i said x-box series x game i never mentioned 360 or x-box one - had a 360 for about a year and never used it more than a handful of times and never bothered at all with x-box one because i didn't see the point if lost odyssey is the best you can find a game well past 10 years old - that me (and this is just me - you might like it) didn't care for at the time good luck
also if all you get is old 360 games why didn't you just pick up a cheap 360 second hand?

Judgment and Lost Judgment (Yakuza spinoffs) are only on Playstation/Xbox for now, and potential future PC versions have been held up by legal disputes with one of the actors' talent agency.
Doesn't quite fulfill your question's requirements as it's on PS but thought it'd be worth noting if you don't have a PS.
Other than that, Crimson Dragon, a spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon, is on Xbox One only.

So you got yourself an xbox and an ps5.. nice! but oh man you are going to need more hours in a day ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
i don't get why people would need both - i mean i get having one or other and then a switch for portability - not to mention the 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% chance of their games ever coming to anything else but both a ps5 and x-box series x is weird

as far as what is a good xbox first party game? forza horizon 3 and 4, gears 4, 5 and tactics, grounded, though these are available on pc gamepass.
as far as playing things you cant buy anywhere else? automatically upgraded retro games! the skate games! sure theyre available on ps3 and 360, but they have hdr and are uprezzed on series x. stuff from the og xbox and 360 era is where youll find most of the exclusivity

The original Saint's Row (2006) was an Xbox exclusive. If you're into the Saint's Row Franchise :)
And Fable II weirdly enough was an Xbox exclusive.
Ninja Gaiden II also was an Xbox exclusive.
These are the ones that held my interest at some point ,but not enough to buy an Xbox.
Comment has been collapsed.
Most exclusives were on the 360, the One is when they made most games release on both XBox and Windows store. Some are cross buy though. :)
If you don't already have them, claim Crackdown 1 and 2, along with Too Human. All three games are free to get.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Delta. Yeah, I know :) Been buying "Play Anywhere"-titles for the last two years when they were dirt cheap in the windows store to enjoy them in the future on the Xbox . Now the Xbox is here and I can enjoy the fruits of my preliminary planning :D
Thank you for the games you mentioned. I will claim them asap :)
Comment has been collapsed.
If you're after exclusives the PS5 and Switch both offer some, but the Xbox has basically done away with them atp (other then classics you can play through backwards compatibility).
Comment has been collapsed.
Microsoft is publishing all their new games on PC as well so there aren't many exclusives.
Rare Replay, Halo 5 are some great exclusives for the newer XBOX (ONE, ONE X/S and Series X/S). It has also been reported that they are HIGHLY unlikely to release on PC.
There are some XBOX 360 and a few XBOX exclusives that you can play on the newer consoles as well. Not a lot, but hopefully enough.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_backward-compatible_games_for_Xbox_One_and_Series_X
Here's a really helpful list that you can (and should) use when checking for exclusives - https://www.gematsu.com/exclusives/xbox-one
https://www.gematsu.com/exclusives/xbox-series-x
Like I said, not many, but it provides a few suggestions as to what you would like to buy.
Happy gaming.

Sorry, but you really bought the wrong console if you're looking for exclusives.

So, guys, the last (and first) console I owned was an Atari 2600 junior. And I bet most of you have to google that now... :D Been a PC gamer since (with the sprinkled in C64, C128, Amiga500, Amiga1000 and the failed CDTV).
Now I bought myself an Xbox Series X and I ask for your opinion on:
What are the absolutely must have games I have to play on an Xbox that are not - and I repeat - NOT available on any other platform, henceforth that are exclusive to Xbox(es)?
Thank you for your answers!
