RDR is my 2nd favorite game of all time, only behind The Witcher 3.

GTA IV is the only game I remember that has a crappy port.
The big thing is that these days, there just a few developers who "gamers" really respect, because of their politics, or actions. And still, in 2016, Rockstar is doing this console only shit, expecting more sales or something.

Manhunt was also a super shitty port... L.A. Noire, too. Tons of people have had issues with Max Payne 3 and Bully. Some of them got fixed, not all of them though.
Rockstar just isn't that good at making PC games, honestly. But then, PC games are harder to make. They try fixing their mistakes as soon as possible though. At least it's better than releasing untested games, having no intentions of looking at costumer complaints until the game has been out for 2 years. Not pointing fingers at anybody though -cough- Telltale Games -cough- q:

maybe because we would like good ports of rockstar games? is that too much to ask? ^^ nobody says rockstar should stop making pc games, because they fucked up the port one or two times. instead people say they should stop fucking up. ;)
and overall i think rockstar games were pretty decent on pc. gta5 is a prime example of that. it's by far the best version of the game.

For me it's not consoles only, remember when GTA V whas announced, that was written like that "fall 2013 for x360 and ps3", maybe there a PC version not for fall 2017 but later, like GTA V.
This announce "x1 and ps4", it's just for fall 2017.
So I keep hope for a red dead redemption 2 PC.
