Leak... Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 2:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (it is not yet known whether this will be a simple port or a remaster/remake)
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Source please. Also, seeing how they included obscure games like NES Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge (and the Graphic Novels even), makes me think Konami are planning to bank on every released MG game. So, I could rather see Vol.2 to include Ghost Babel, Portable Ops and MGS4, maybe even Acid 1 and 2. With more Volumes to come.

It's more of a rumor than a leak though.

Suspected from some dude inspecting the page source.

Hmm, it's just the official timeline and we know those games will be released at some point, not conclusive enough for me. Snake's Revenge is not on the timeline, and it still was in Vol.1.

MSG5TPP...why I have the feeling, that version of MGS5TPP wont ENFORCE the online aspect, wich was an aspect manny players were asking as it just enslaves you to collect/protect your resources. But if they keep it, I wouldn't be surprised either...

Don't forget no Mouse + Keyboard support and needing multiple patches for controls and resolutions.

I'll wait for the release in October as well as reviews from other players.

It does say Vol. 1, so they're probably leaving MGS4 for Vol. 2, and Peace Walker will definitely be in that one. The question is what else they'd put there, since MGS5 still holds up graphically and doesn't really need a remaster, unless they'll just bundle the current version as is.

We will get Bloodborne Remastered before MGS4 make its way to Vol. 2. :)
Peace Walker and Portable Ops will be in that one for sure, what else remains to be seen.

Probably they are going to add more obscure MGS titles like MGS Acid 1+2 , MGS The Twin Snakes , MGS Portable Ops Plus(+) and maybe some Game Boy and Mobile games !

Do you think Peace Walker will have some decent controls? I hope they don't port it with just PSP controls (No Right Joystick).

It should at least have decent gamepad controls since MGS2 and 3 in Vol. 1 are based on the HD Collection version, so PW port is likely to be based on that version too.

Will 100% buy this. I'm very glad to see Metal Gear 1 & 2 there. I didn't expect it. I've never played Metal Gear, so this is amazing stuff.

Volume 2 was already rumored to contain Metal Gear Solid 4 & 5.

Looks like a half-assed emulator + iso release. There's already a PC version, and even community patches to fix its shortcomings, why not just release that on Steam?

$47.99 on humble bundle due to the 12 months of choice with 20%, I don't care about the complaints of KBM, and happy that finally after 20 years is on steam

If the remaster quality is as bad as I expect, this seems way overpriced. Will those not be available as individual purchases?

I'll pick it up at some point I'm sure, but the fact that it's Konami has me worried about the quality of the ports. Their other collections have been pretty lackluster.

I'm also curious why they went with the PSX version of Metal Gear Solid and not the Gamecube version (or both).

"Sadly Twin Snakes is stuck in a legal limbo as the company that made it, Silicon Knights, went bankrupt and shut down almost 10 years ago, as well as Nintendo having numerous character cameos in the game (meaning Nintendo would also have to sign off on Mario and Yoshi appearing on Xbox/playstation/PC, or Nintendo agreeing to having them removed from the game, which is pretty unlikely.)"

"Fans can also purchase Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as stand-alone digital titles separate from the collection for $19.99 SRP. Regional versions of these titles will also be available as digital downloads at no extra cost."

My playstation broke long ago, but these are games I've already paid for so... Emulation it is, if I ever decide to play them again. Now if they remaster or remake (preferably the latter), then I'd pay again.
