I liked it too, but then I was looking at a couple of the MacVenture games anyway on the Steam Store. From a "it's never been bundled before" point of view/game collecting it was good as well.

I was seriously considering buying Retro 4, but if I had I'd have been disappointed too. This is because the games are so good I already bought them for myself years ago. It's funny how that works :p

MacVenture Collection, Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 and Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon for 1.50$ is a real bummer indeed. I mean that's 7 games really worth playing and they are like 22 cent each, so that's indeed extremely disappointing.

But... but... why do you even (pre) order a bundle that is named 'Retro' if you don't like those games?

Maybe he expected other types of retro games?
A Pong Collection, perhaps?

I get that, but if you say it's 'EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING' I wonder if you get that retro can mean any retro games. I mean.. it's not like you buy a candy bar and get broccoli. Anyway, I think the bundle was VERY WELL WORTH THE PRE-ORDER. Just my personal opinion.

There is just as much (if not more) variety in older games as in modern ones.
I can't see where he says he doesn't like retro games. He just doesn't like the ones in this pack. Seems a perfectly legitimate complaint.
What if you pre-ordered "Modern Games 4" bundle, and didn't like the games? Would that mean you didn't like contemporary games? Would you be precluded from finding the bundle "EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING" simply because the contents matched the [very vague] description?

Well, I personally wouldn't complain if I ordered 'Modern Games 4' and get 7 objectively good modern games that I didn't like. That's just me though and I hardly ever roll my eyes either. Call me silly.

Who said I don't like "those games"? FYI, I do like oldies. :p I was hoping for, maybe, Flashback, Another World, Gold Rush, Double Dragon... there were a lot of possibilities and unfortunately for me, none of the games from Retro 4 truly interests me.
The MacVenture Series Collection is nice but I already have Déjà Vu and Shadowgate in my library.
That said... saying that I was extremely disappointed was an exaggeration on my part, I admit. ;)

Guess what... I already had Deja Vu and Shadowgate (Classic) too ;) You should try Tex Murphy. It's a game that aged not too badly and has a lot of great humour in it. I get that there could have been even better games in the bundle, but after adding the MacVenture games you really can't complain about the preorder that much. It's good quality for little money (even if you would like other games in there :D). There were really bad Groupees pre-orders in past few weeks and I think this one is a steal for 1.50$. Given you can always hope for more of course :)

Retro 4 is maybe one of three bundles I haven't preordered since they started that.....and when it came up, I'm like shit, well here's my $3 now. I'd almost bought the MacVenture games the week before so I'm glad I passed

Last years was pretty good, so I reserved it, haven't bought any Groupees bundle in a while, so don't disappoint me Groupees :)

I don't understand you guys. If you are not sure you will be happy with the bundle you can just buy it as gift, what is easy to sell later for the reservation price. So you lost nothing and make someone happy who missed the short preorder period - in the case you won't like the bundle. If you like you redeem it on your own account. Problem solved.

Reserved :(
Be mine doesn't usually disappoint so hopefully this will be the same.

Oh man, it has already been three years since I bought first Be Mine bundle. I'm getting old :(

It looks like I didn't order last year's anniversary bundle, so I was a little uncertain whether I should buy this one, especially since it's a completely blind purchase. But it's only $2 on reserve, so as long as a few games are new to me, it should be worth the price. Plus the Be Mine bundles seem to be Groupees' major ones, and I've bought a number of them before, so I'm guessing/hoping that there's a good chance that the bundle will be good. I decided to take a chance on it.
