On first thought, report as soon as you find out. This is core rule keeping in check all insert names here trying to make a profit on others generosity.
On the other hand, not activated game that was unpunished allows for a reroll.

That's funny, because I thought about creating such thread few days ago. I've also searched through my giveaways some time ago (not too many of them) and spotted one guy who hasn't activated (after several months) so I've reported him and he was banned within 4 hours from creating the ticket. I'm ruthless when it comes to such things, I guess.

i vote yes for error. i think if u won the lottery u can giveaway ur money if u want no? or u can buy whatever u want.

i think if u won it u can trade it u don't need to activate it if u don't want the game. if u can trade and get another WHY NOT?

Punishments for year + rule infractions are still being handed out by support, so go ahead.

You know, I don't know why, but somehow I assumed up till now that none of the winners of my giveaways would be so crass as to not activate their gifts. You just motivated me to go through them all and add three more names to what I'm sure is the very long list (would have been four, but one was already banned for doing the same thing to other people).

why did you only send me one nudie? I wanted more!

Last guy I reported is still not banned and that was 2 weeks ago, he traded all of his wins right away on Steamtrades, I saw that he traded away Heroes of the Storm keys for money which he got for free on other sites and so I thought that he's probably also doing this with giveaways because that's both an asshole move and ofc he did....I hate people like that, who sell stuff they got from others who gave it away for free.

On the other side of the coin, I did once get suspended on SG about not activating game yet, despite of that I activated it about 2 months before the suspension, right away after getting key from creator of giveaway. And nobody on staff care to check my library before suspending me and then I needed to give proof about it, kinda backwards than it supposed to be :D.
