Why are there no Atlus developed games on Steam?

The last games I saw with the Atlus name on them was the Disgaea series. Are they even still making games?

They don't really do PC to my knowledge. I think the only SMT game on PC was the Imagine MMO, which was developed by another developer.

Probably because they're a relatively small company that makes heavily Japan-focused games, and the PC gaming market over there is practically non-existent. Plus the majority of people who want to own their games outside Japan likely own a console, since that style of game is far more common on consoles and handhelds. It likely wouldn't be worth the effort or expense for them to produce PC ports.

My guess is that they dont care too much about PC really because in Japan, PC gaming is for perverts.

I can't even remember what games they made for the PC so far... They are mostly developers and publishers for console systems.

They are based in japan, they don't make hentai games, so therefore, they don't make PC games. Yes, this is how Japan operates.

I remember Atlus had the Tactics Ogre license for awhile, before Square Enix bought it off from them. (I for one am keeping my fingers crossed for a Tactics Ogre PC/Steam port...maybe an "Anthology" bundle that combines the "LUCT/Wheel of Fate" and "Knight of Lodis" campaigns together, plus perhaps tools to create our own TO Campaigns and share them on Steam Workshop?)

I'm guessing Atlus have some kind of contract or agreement with Sony and Nintendo about SMT.

Because there aren't "any" Atlus developed games on PC.

I hoped for some Persona games being ported after SEGA acquired them

They published the most recent Tex Murphy game and a few others recently on PC, but it's not surprising they want to make more games for 3DS and WiiU than anything else being Japanese

So are there any games on steam with a fusion system similar to SMT? The only one I can think of is Agarest, and I have that on ps3 already.

besides Most Atlus games Includes a lot of +25 content even the censored version in EU and US can make you.... you know
VALVE and Microsoft have some shitty policies about releasing this kind of games on their platforms if that's the case ( i think that is) no one can argue about that Just Buy a Nintendo or sony console and ENJOY the amazing world of ATLUS

Atlus (formerly Index Corporation) should be making more games I think!
They have only released a handful of English-language games for Windows (most of their games are Japanese):
