where do the DeadFall Adventures cd keys come from?

I noticed some offers on steamtrades for Deadfall Adventures cd keys. One guy even has 3 of them to offer. I am always a little curious, where keys come from (I don't want to use keys from sites like g2play, for example). So does anyone know? Where do these keys come from?

Nuuvem has a sale right now. 22,76 euro compared to Steam 39,99 euro
Else probably some cheap key website like g2play
Saw it, 5 keys is really low. Maybe he got them from the publisher or developer, they sent out a lot of free keys to reviewing websites, etc
