Q: Is this the side-effect of the mess that happened on Monday?
(Tried even moving gifts from one account to another [not using them when received]
even gifts that already were on the other account showed this message).

While a fix for now seems to be > sending the gift > and use when prompted to store/use it.

thinks valve aree updating some things on their end. i remember getting this error as well some months ago. wait it out and all should be okeys

I have the same problem. I have read that if you gift it to someone and they gift it back, it can fix it

tried it before didn't work but when receiving it > instead of putting it in the inv. instantly using it might work (didn't care to try that)

Thank god, I thought, I was the only one. I have been having this exact issue since yesterday. It's been the same with all of my gifts, even the ones I bought from my store. However, when I sent one of my gifts to a friend, she was able to activate it without a problem.

Also, this. Strange things are happening these days. Maybe they are rebuilding their system and it's not fully working in the meantime? Some kind of preparation for the Summer sale?
