New Sonic Trailer

I honestly did not expect Paramount to shell out the money to completely redo Sonic's design.

Unless the original trailer footage was specifically made to look shit so that they could boast about the improvements they made now?

It doesn't surprise me after I saw that the director tweeted that he heard the fan feedback and was going to redo & improve Sonic's look. Its not so much that I trusted the director, but rather I'm not used to directors being so specific in what they are willing to change after a mere trailer is revealed.

Yeah, I think like "wtf happend with Sonic?" humanoid?

still not really a movie i have any interest in seeing but the new sonic IS better looking and hopefully kids will enjoy watching it without succumbing to nightmares brought on by the eldritch horror that was the previous design.

Massive improvement over what was shown before. Still feels just a little off, but at least now it wont give the audience nightmares.

Still don't think the first one was bad.

There is a conspiracy theory that it was all a marketing ploy, and that the only rendered scenes with "evil" sonic where those in the trailer. But I find that hard to believe. Whatever the reason, Sonic looks waaaay better. Still not interested in seeing the movie though.

I will commend them for listening to the feedback, but that won't make be go see it. I don't care for Sonic, and to be frank, the movie looks like shit.

Who thinks they might have had this version immediately but made the fake "realistic" one in order to do exactly this and gather attention and positive marketing?

The new Sonic looks pretty OK to me. The old design was a disgusting mostrosity.

The movie still looks pretty bad or at least it´s not my cup of tea, but now I kind of hope it´ll be a success, because the descision to make these changes derserve to be rewarded.

From now on, if anyone ever tries to be a smartass with a sentence like "nothing good ever comes from complaing", I will slap that picture in his face:

To me good, bad, awful it doesn't matter how Sonic looks the movie is pretty much unnecessary and i personally will not watch it because i'm neither a Sonic fan or interested in a movie about Sonic.
