My contrib value keeps changing

Yesterday I had $58 something, today $49. A few weeks ago it was at $50 something. I've not made a giveaway for a while and am wondering what's going on? I could enter $55.55 contrib giveaways yesterday (which I did several) now cant even enter $50 ones. Is this a common bug or something else ?

The value of your giveaways change according to Steam's current game value regardless of when they were given away.

but all of his giveaways are bundle games except one that has had the same price for a while now on steam I believe, I'm still confused by this response as I expected it to be something this simple.
