Hey, Helen. How are things going with your Internet boyfriend?

I think I've missed a couple of chapters of the soap opera. What happened?

Some random Friend started chatting up pentaerythritol, asking pentaerythritol to role play as his girlfriend Helen. The chemistry between the two was dynamic.

Jesus grabbing Christ, how come I haven't seen it before? What an amazing convo you kept there, Helen (by the way, not even Semtex's proper name can overcome the greatness of ... "Helen", get over it). Great job, thanks for this.

I'm not Semtex. I'm just pentaerythritol tetranitrate.
My alt is cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine, and by our powers combined we are Semtex.

But if James Brown used to sing that he is a sex machine, does that mean James Brown is God?

Was. And yes, he was a musical god.
I once tailed James Brown from the airport to his concert location to nail an interview with him. I caught up to him when he had to make a liquor store stop.
Good times.

That's not what subliminal or suggestive means, dude.
Hell, most articles you'd probably pick up about 'subliminal' stuff doesn't really understand it either.
Reminds me of the masses of videos on "backmasking and subliminal brainwashing" that kept suggesting satanists were programming you, because if you play stuff backwards and give yourself to massive confirmation bias, you can hear them saying "kill your soul" or "worship evil". I'd like to say I laughed at it back then, but all I could manage was a pokerface.

Thank you.
I will now be using the term "massive confirmation bias" around the house now.
Seriously. That's a good one.
And yes. This is amusing.

I mean, don't get me wrong, there are definitely proven psychological methods for recognition and persuasion. But most of them are well known enough.
Many are theoretical still. And there's a reason that dial testing/focus groups still occur.
Hell, I worked in that business for a long time, in politics, and I assure you that there is a LOT of thought that goes into spots, but nothing that isn't part of content creation. No "secret" messaging.
And I don't know what's going on in Target's product packaging division, but someone has a sense of humor. :)

The key, in my experience, is to get the viewer/listener to answer a narrow question for themselves, as if they made their own decision. In some regard, they have. But there are ways to direct that responsively.

I don't quite understand this topic, although I do recall some folks claiming the box to Super Mario Galaxy said U R MR GAY or something like that

On the other hand i felt some homosexual tendencies and craving for meaty man parts after few hours of Mass Effect 2, so you might be onto something here

The title "Deus Ex" is derived from the Latin expression "Deus ex machina", literally meaning "God from the machine", which is used in drama and literature to describe sudden, unsatisfying realized endings. But our game has only two words, thus meaning "from God".

I notice a lot of subliminals and / or suggestives in video games, Like Assassin's Creed for example .. if We decompose the Words, Like its "Ass-Ass-ins Creed" and Deus Ex Revolution Like its "Deu-Sex Revolution" (Deu = God) and its not just in titles, many subliminals in-game images and action also. Have you noticed them?
