Rather than simply offering a dismissive aside, would you care to elaborate on your own interpretation of the word's meaning, to further contribute to the SG community's understanding of the word's expectations of use within this site?

The main problem of restricting interpretation past the generalizations we already have, is that the line where such restrictions are drawn tends to end up being a rather subjective one. Would a site doing a 5 copy giveaway of Grand Theft Auto V be a deal? Is a raffle a deal? Are key drops? Is a deal something you pay for, or only something you get for free? Or does it have to fall within specific time and expense parameters?

This meets all the usual expectations for a "Deal"- the rest is just a matter of having to reinterpret context.
(Though, you can make a case for the fact that deals aren't presented misleadingly, and this is, and that as such it fails to fulfill that specific secondary expectation. Was a bit hard to interpret that level of nuance from your comment, of course.)
