Yep, this another good fighter of sorts. Fantasy themed obviously. I picked up mine for 3.75 from the amazon sale.

Very much agree with this. Nothing is as mindlessly great as Dynasty Warriors.

Torchlight 2. A real highlight from last year's gaming. The best part about this is the large mod community. Each mod adds even more depth and gameplay to the game.

Loki is a sleeper title. But I liked it for the mythology connection and theme for each of the characters in this 3D fighter.

The No More Heroes games are the one of the main reasons to own a Wii. If you think this is a kids game, you are wrong. For instance, you save the game by accessing the bathroom and dropping your pants. The anime, wrestling, manga and other game references are hilarious.

I don't think double dragon has aged well. Streets of Rage and battletoads on the other hand are still epic. Also have a look at the konami classic turtles in time/hyperstone heist.

It might also be interesting to look at a slightly different genre called run 'n' gun. Contra and gunstar heroes are still as awesome today as they were when they released 20-25 years ago.
