You're the second person pointing me to the existence of men's day. I am fully aware. My post is mocking people who oftentimes comment with their whataboutism on threads celebrating women's day, pride month, black history month or any other marginalized group of people. I am actually having a hard time understanding how that is not obvious.

A good day to remember there is still inequality and violence all around us and that we can be allies and we can support women in our lives without being patronizing. Lots of charities too that could use a buck and are doing a lot of work in places in the world where equality is not even on the list of women's worst issues.

And yes there are women in Iran and other countries who would be happy to get the level of inequality we have here. And yes there are women and girls being mutilated and forced into marriages at 11 in some places in the world but that doesn't make it ok for women to be unsafe here.
So one day a year seems to be a good time to drop a buck for a charity and to prepare to remember respect and support the other 364 days til the next one.
