If you're really that confused I'm sure you can google a time converter. Edit- Here, I did it for you. http://www.onlineconversion.com/date_12-24_hour.htm

24 hour conversation is easy.
24 hour to am/pm: If it's over 12 minus 12. So 23 - 12 = 11pm
am/pm to 24 hour: If it's pm add 12 hours to it. So 6pm would be 18:00
It's not like the imperial system which only one very stubbon country is trying to cling hold to. ;)

i myself am not a big fan of 12h display, but i cannot fathom how it is possible to not know how to use it. like catastrophic said above me, it's not like the US is the only place in the world to use it.

am pm used in English speaking countries. Countries like Latvia does not use it, we have 24h time and it is confusing to convert am/pm times. I am just suggesting to improve current system. That is like miles an km conversation :D or Fahrenheit or Celsius.

it's definately NOT only used in english speaking countries. and splitting 24 hours into two sets of 12 hours is NOT the same as converting miles to meters and fahrenheit to celsius. those use completely different scales. its more like... converting celsius to kelvin, except that you only need the brain of a hummingbird to do 24h/12h conversion

I'm from Germany and we don't use am/pm either, but it's really not that difficult. Just think of am as After Midnight (I know that's not the correct term, but it's easy to remember).
The only part that might be a little confusing is, that 24:00 = 12am and 12:00 = 12pm

As i don't live in USA its kinda annoying to use am and pm tags it would be better to let users setup their local time and then chose to use 24 hour clocks or am pm/am.
