So, I bought a gift this morning and put it in my inventory. I received the receipt and went "Awesome, I'll just create a giveaway right now."

The giveaway's ended (sorry :P) but I've checked my inventory and it's not there? Is there a cooldown period or something that I don't know about?

Edit: I got it on steam btw. :D

Bug that happens sometimes. Open up a trade window and it should show up.

Yeah I've tried that. Even sent a ticket to Steam, they haven't replied yet.

Did it subtract wallet funds? Check your account history (top right, click on your username). See if it shows up there.

Yeah it did. I'll try the solution Fet left and see if that works.

It's a bug. Happened to me a few times. This thread has several workarounds, but the basic gist is you need to "update" your inventory. I can confirm that buying any other gift works.

GabeN's clever "bug" makes people buy even more games! [/tinfoilhat]

Yeah. Intentional or not, it's complete and utter bullshit. "You wanna use stuff you already paid for? Pay for some more stuff."

Yup, selling a random card updated my inventory. I can now see the game.

Thanks a lot Fet and others who commented. XD I was stressing for a little while. :'D
