Hello!

Three days ago, I won my first gift, but I haven't received it yet. I checked my mail account every day and my steam account, too, but there has been no message. My gift was one of three copies of the same game.

At first I wanted to wait the seven days, before contacting the donor, but today I saw, that one of the other receivers has already gotten his copy. I guess that something went wrong and the mail got lost or the spam filter erased it. So I wanted to contact the donor and ask him to send me the key a second time.

But I don't know how to contact him. This site seems to have no message system and I do not have his mail adress. What can I do now?

Thank you, MP

I dunno, I wouldn't bother if I was you. Just wait, when you still didn't get anything until the 7th day then add him to Steam. It's free shit you're getting, so just lean back and play some games, especially since one guy already received his gift.

The last thing you want to do is harassing the giveaway creator. Also, if not stated otherwise, not everyone delivers via email (check the eventual giveaway description for further instructions). Check if the email you provided in your profile is correct. Check your spam folder. And wait 7 days.
Don't haste.

"Harassing"? How is this classified as harassing? If a GA winner of mine approached me like the OP did here with this explanation then I would not be offended or feel harassed at all. I would think any GA creator who does feel that way after hearing the OP's situation is being oversensitive.

Giveaway creators sometimes have other things to do besides sending you gifts. He or she has seven days to get it to you. If I were a giveaway creator and my recipient had not marked the gift "received," I would be trying to get hold of him to find out why.

You can expect the gifter to contact you before seven days are up. You can add him or her on Steam to make it easier to reach you, but there's no need to pester him or her about it.

I'm talking about this particular situation in which the OP has reason to believe that something may have gone wrong. My point was that to use the term "harass" to refer to someone just politely asking someone if, perchance, something went wrong is just overreacting. Otherwise, I agree that I would normally not bother the GA creator about the gift until the 7 days are up. But really, people are getting a bit too stuck up about the idea of being the gifter. A bit of polite communication isn't going to kill you.

I guess it was one of those giveaways. And the other guy just marked it to get rid of green banner.

You modified your answer!!! It can be noticed by the asterisk :-[
Why would someone mark as received without receiving? That means eating someone elses problem and chance to get banned instead the other. Nonsense.

I didnt modify anything, just added the second sentence before i saw your comment. Nonsence u say? i wish you could see succesful user reports i made. Dont think others are as clever as you are. Also, posting advice that was repeated al least 5 times above - this is what i call nonsense.

OK calm dawn, it may be a problem related to loading time and replies:)
And is true that some people don't understand how the site work, but not sure if at that level.

He wrote in the description, that he'll send it by mail and yes, my mail adress is definitely correct. I checked that already.

But I'm going to wait now and then maybe add him on steam. (Didn't think about that.) Thanks for your answers. Didn't want to bother you, but since this is my first gift, I didn't know how things should be going normally. ;)

Check in his Steamgifts profile when he was online last time. Maybe he took a 4 day holiday and will deliver when he returns :)
And if he had previous giveaways he'll surely deliver.
Otherwise just add him on steam in a day or two.
