Yes there is. From the main site click browse and you should be able to find it, if it isn't already on the main screen anyways.

If you need to find e-sport streams, They're easy to find, most of them are on the top of the filter list, otherwise just enter the name of the game. For retro casts, you need to feel around a bit

I would like to stream there, but there is no free application to do that.
So I continue to use XFire to stream games from time to time. BUt mostly only for friends that want to know how a game is like I have.
Or to show them how to get an achievement etc.

Xsplit is a streaming application that is currently free since it is in beta. Flash Media Encoder is free too, but it needs a bit of work to get a feel for it (it also needs an additional program called SCFH DSF). I recommend trying Xsplit, since its easy to use.
PS: greetings, fellow Germaneer =P try Mr. Bob's channel for some German gaming (and occasionally some anime).

Anyone frequent on twitch.tv? It's a great gaming live-stream community and very comfortable to use. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check it out. The most popular channels I know are ManVsGame and TheGreatGQ. There's lots of Retro casters (including myself), and lots of casts for e-sports games.
If you like retro games, check out my channel. If you're new to twitch/jtv, you can make an account to chat with others, and to follow me if you like.
The reason I post this is mostly because I wasn't able to gain any viewers lately. I'm getting lonely but I don't want to stop streaming because of the lack of viewers. So, I thought I'd guide some people from this awesome community to the TTV community. Any followers would be really appreciated.
PS: the site is absolutely free to use, no money required to stream or watch channels. you CAN spend money on a Pro account (which gives a bit of extra stuff and supports the admins) and you CAN subscribe (which is not the same as following) to some bigger channels for 5 bucks monthly to support the broadcaster (I don't know if you get anything for it besides a badge in the chat). Those payments are all optional. Just wanted to point that out.
