Just to get my word in the conversation (and leave a bump with it). 6 days for the GA is good. I honestly think you can't do wrong with longterm GAs, they shoulkd at least last for 24h, the rest is up to everybody to decide.

Sure, why not (I can't imagine what an asshole would refuse to delete such a GA anyway).
As for the length, these are your GAs, and it's totally your right to set any length that's convenient for you. I think, the only thing that matters here is not to make whitelist GAs too quick, everything else is perfectly normal.
