I'm allergic too, yet I have 2 cats ;)
And I like both (even had both) but prefer cats, as long as they're house cats (not the ones who only walk on the streets)

True... although cats can be awful noisy too, specially if a female cat is on heat. And also a dog can have a calm personality and even be trained, mine is super quiet except when my mom talks to him (she spoils him too much, it's up to me later to try to train him and behave more)

This is the closest I can get without quoting stuff from 4chan that is so wildly offensive that I cannot post it here. But you'll get generally the idea of what insults go like. Towards 2005-6 that film came out with "I can count to potato" and that's when it changed.
Essentially calling someone a "potato" was another way of using the "n" word and you get a few people still using it although it gets rarer each year to point only the drawfag legacy is going to remain.

Story time: Alright, so I moved in with my boyfriend & his mother last December. We have a cat, and she hates everyone besides my boyfriend's mom. I tried every day to pet her, but she would just scratch and hiss at me. i still tried, every day. Finally, in June, she stopped being so mean, and would start laying on my lap. I couldn't pet her, but she'd lay on me. It finally progressed to now. I'm at the point where she meows LOUDLY so that I will open my door and go cuddle with her. i will pick her up, and she basically hugs me. She'll rub her face on mine, and my neck, and my shoulders, and she'll put one paw on my right shoulder, and the other on my left and cuddles me, and purrs loudly. And when I sit down, she lays on me and cuddles me. If I just set her down and leave to go into my room, she meows abruptly before attacking my feet (gently, she doesn't try to hurt me anymore). She loves me now, and it's all because I tried. Also, she hates my boyfriend. He never tried like I did, and he always upsets her just being BEING near her XD

I was just recently introduced to a cat in the family, he's cute and fun to play with, but cats are just so egocentric and I'm more used to call my dog and pet him, kiss him or play with him most of the time (sometimes even he's not in the mood).
