From what I read and my own drops it's 2 crates and 2 skins.
You have to check your steam inventory. One of my drop didn't show up in the end game score screen and within CS GO inventory.

You have to complete matches to get drops. It's round played not time based like cards.

Are you asking about time that is counted towards drops? Idling in CS:GO is very rude towards everyone else who are genuinely playing the game. I report idlers through Steam for "inappropriate behaviour" because I don't want some idler wasting my time sitting in the spawn zone, causing everyone to wait longer for drops.

As long as you are in the game you get drops if you've played enough rounds. But it's pretty scummy to idle.

People are very sensitive about idling right now.
I got kicked seconds after i joined a server because i took the liberty of replying to a Trader, my team was wiped out in the blink of an eye and even though i stood 20 meters away from spawn with a P250 in my hand, they thought i wouldn't come back.. probably could have won the round for them too..
So impatient.. It's not like i was gone for more than 15 seconds either..
My point is, idling won't get you very far on servers where people actually want to play, you'll get kicked in a heartbeat.
@Faltharis, if you know you'll be gone for 2 minutes, you either leave the server or you go into spectator mode, 2 minutes is too long to just stay around being useless.

A lot of people say i got 4 drops and nothing more same for me. some people talk about i got 5 and 6. but after the 4 drops your drop rate is extremly low. You have to be so luck or play too much time.
I just want to ask this. I was start to play last Saturday. Am i have to wait next Saturday for reset or valve has any day for reset drop ?

No, the Drops reset on a set time for everyone, it'd be a waste of resources to save when which person got his first item so that the reset can happen at that time, and it wouldn't be a very "clean" thing to do.
I'm curious when the actual reset time is though, i thought they would bind it to the same timer TF2 runs by, to make management easier, but apparently that isn't the case.

Actually, the timer i looked at may have been wrong.
It can still be the same timer. In around 36 hours from this comment.

After reading through the official FAQ, I noticed this:
Q: How do I earn decorated weapons by playing the game?
A: Weapon drops are awarded for play time over the course of a week. As your play time increases, the drop rate will slow down. The drop rate will reset when the week rolls over.
So technically I think people could get more than 4 drops, but who knows.

as long as they don't cheat i don't see any problem in it,you just can't be angry with person who only idle...they get items and you too,it's regular,you can't bother about it until they don't use cheats or something,in that case you can be angry,if they idle you can't,because there is nothing to do to stop it.

I've gotten some while playing on a barely empty server, just another guy and myself. Not sure about if it's just you, but that's as close as I've gotten. I think as long as it's an official server, you have a chance.

When did you get first/last though. I've got 6 drops now, over about 8 days.

It depends on when your "week" resets though, so those 6 items may have actually been spread across the border of 2 weeks.

Me and my cousin have been getting drops. He's gotten more than me though, also getting better unboxes than I am. Didn't get to hit the cap yet. We just play and mess around on a bunch of community servers until we get them.

forgive my stupidity here but how do we get keys to open the crates and such? do they also get dropped?
i dont play tf2 or dota so thats why i dont know i guess

You can buy them in-game for $2.49 as mentioned already, or go on the Steam Market and find them for less than.

thanks for the info guys. im curious tho, why do people sell them for less? if the only way to get them is to buy from market why would someone buy them and then sell at a loss?

I've gotten 4 drops since it started and I read from the Steam community forums that MOST people got 4 drops so far.
Anyone gotten more than that? And which day does the timer reset?
It's quite tiring to play so many rounds although it's a good game.
