A wrong bundle to rebundle.
To make it worse, the original GameMaker Studio is obsolete and removed from Steam. GameMaker Studio 2 now takes it's place.
I know there are people who are only interested in games but there are people who want to develop their own titles using apps such as this.

Original Gamermaker Studio is still a cool platform, and for very low cost a good entry to learn gamemaker language with, and competent games can be made with it. Gamemaker Studio 2 costs quite a bit unless you were sure you were serious.

I agree. It's still usable and you can create awesome games even without using the new version. In my country there are universities and colleges that use this program.
I just checked now that you can still publish and sell games using this version which is a huge plus for beginners and people who can't afford the new version.
My initial reaction about the bundle was negative since there already was a bundle and it got replaced by a newer version on steam, but now I learned that the application is still usable and opens up doors for people who are poor, but want to create games.

imho, it's a super platform for people learning to program games. It is so powerful and cuts development time so much. It makes it easier to stay motivated while still letting you get into more complicated parts of the program earlier on. There's a reddit support thread with lots of discussion and archive of common programming problems to reference also.

Also, gms 1.4 allows you to develop low requirements dx9 games.... gms 2.0 makes dx11 games that require win7/8/10 only and more ram/cpu/gpu, so are not really as suitable for cheap notebooks anymore.

Probably irrelevant and absolutely semantics, but I think "Galactic Missile Defense" would be considered bundled for the first time (at least regarding the Steam version) since last time was only a DRM-free version.
Just thought I'd mention in case anyone who bought the previous GM thing was confused about not having it.

Ok I can see the confusion, you are right, it was included but not as DLC I have the other DLCs but that one no. I have that module but asociated to my YoYoGame account but I am using the Steam version and thats the reason why I tought that I don't have it XD

UWP module was not on steam so nobody got it. Download GameMaker from Yoyogames.com if you want to use UWP module.

not a steam key; and I suspect the process as changed...
at least for GMS2 I linked my yoyogame account to steam account to get both version (standalone and steam) no more recovery email with keys (I would assume that's how it's going to work for now for 1.4 version too - but no garantee :p )

It depends, its way easier to use in comparison, but its way more limited tho. While C2 games can be made a lot faster and easier, in GM you make things you couldn't in C2. I'm still not making the jump tbh, but I'll take the opportunity to learn a lot more. Especially since some market decisions of Construct 3 really don't appeal to me, like being a web-based application. They tried to avoid piracy by making their software (Construct 3) run on a fucking browser. Thats plain fucking stupid imo. At least at the moment. At least while this is not a consolidated technology, I will not pay for a license to use a software on a fucking browser, you can be sure of that.

I'm curious what you think of Godot. That's free, open source, and sounds like it might rival anything commercial especially once version 3 gets out of alpha. I'm kind of leaning towards that myself if i ever were to try making a game.

We do apologize for the trouble. The keys that were set up for the bundle for Ink were from an incorrect batch of keys. If you go to your GameMaker reBundle page you should now be able to generate an Ink Deluxe Edition key.
