I don't have much money prepared, but I'd like to get:

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Deluxe (if it gets on sale)

And we'll see, as my wishlist is huge, while my funds are strongly limited.

Isn't Universe at War removed from steam? I remember seeing a steam key for 7-8$ on amazon a while ago and that was 75% off. Great game tho, would buy it myself.

Yes is removed cause the GFWL and some crash bug in start which can be fixed with some tweak.
Im checking everyday for for a sale on gamestop and the only place left to get a steam key :)

Is Aliens Colonial Marines a good game overall because i see only hate, i ask because you want to get the season pass.

Is it a good game? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes.

It is kinda hard to explain. I mean the plot is predictable, enemy AI - sucks, friendly AI - new definition of the word "suck", (Have you ever seen friendly Marine turning his back on Alien and starting shooting at the empty egg, which he misses, because it is behind a rock, and he hits this rock only, while alien attacks him from behind? It happens here all the time) graphics - average thanks to this 4 GB patch which really helped, (there is a good mod to make it look quite nice). But firing madly at waves of xenomorphs, hoping that you will run out of enemies before you run out of ammo - I really liked it. I liked the sound of weapons, I liked corridors of Suralco. I enjoyed hiding behind auto-turret and shooting everything that moves, or looks like it could move. I liked that most of the enemies don't just die, but you need to unload a lot of led into them to make them stop moving.

If you like mindless shooting at aliens - just buy this game at 80-90% discount. And from what I heard - DLC missions are much better than regular game. 3, maybe 5 Euros is about the right price for this game. Under no circumstances buy it at the full price - it is not worth it.

  • The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
  • The Stanley Parable
  • Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna)
  • Costume Quest 2

Hmm...although I just noticed the following about Ethan Carter:
"Savepoints are automatic and far between. You can't play in short burtst [sic] or you lose your progress."

That doesn't work very well for me. Short bursts is pretty much all I got.

Saving in this game is horrible, I preordered it and haven't finished it yet because I got so angry about how it saves. Ruined the whole experience for me :(

<sadface/> Is there anything more to it other than that it uses checkpoints far apart? Is there any way to know that you've reached a checkpoint?

There's a little "saving" message, but it's small and in a corner, easy to overlook. The game is devided into segments, although there is no indication about that, it gives you an open world feel right from the beginning and it doesn't explain anything, no tutorial of any sorts. You have to finish a puzzle segment completely, then the game saves. If you don't manage to finish it you will have to redo the whole thing the next time you load the game. What makes it worse: it's not a one screen kind of puzzle but a move around in the world and find hidden stuff puzzle (in an open world kinda setting). As stated, I hated it.
